Registration

There are THREE ways to register for courses at Ivy Tech:

Registration and Academic Advising
- Students are encouraged to see an academic advisor, however, they may register without seeing one if they choose.
- Students are responsible for their course selection; however, they must have successfully completed all prerequisites.
- Students are subject to follow the College refund policy and accept responsibility for any impact on their financial aid.
- Students improperly registered may be required to switch to an appropriate course. Practical Nursing and Associate of Science in Nursing will continue to require program advisor’s authorization to register for any courses. Some courses in other disciplines may require authorization from program advisor.
- Students may choose to establish their own schedule and register without consultation or authorization from an academic advisor. Students are encouraged to see a program advisor each semester.
- Students who have not been enrolled the past two years may call the Registrars Office at 260-480-4209 to be activated for Touchnet or Internet registration.
Register Online
To Access Online Student Services:
- Go to www.ivytech.edu
- Log in to Campus Connect, completing “user name” and “password” fields
- Click on “login” icon
- Scroll down and click on “Online Student Services” in “Quick Links for Students” section
- Click on “Student and Financial Aid”
To Register for Courses using Online Student Services:
- Position cursor over “Registration” and then click on “Drop and Add Classes”.
- Position cursor over “term” and select the term for which you intend to register for courses.
- Click on “Course Section Search (By Campus)” and select" Fort Wayne".
- Select term and Fort Wayne campus from drop down box. Then select subject and click on "submit".
- Select course and click on "submit". Search for the course section with available seats that best suits your schedule.
- Record the 5 digit call number from the column second from the left corresponding to the course section you choose. Repeat this process for all other courses you wish to take. (You may also find the 5 digit green call number listed in the printed Fort Wayne schedule, but bear in mind that you cannot determine seat availability from the printed schedule.)
- Return to “Registration” and click on “Drop and Add Classes”. Enter the 5 digit call numbers in the “Add Class” boxes and then click "submit".
- Once you've selected all the courses you want, move cursor over “Registration” and click on “Detailed Schedule” to print out the page for your records.
Register by Phone
- Complete telephone registration worksheet form before calling the toll free number
- Social Security number is your student identification number
- PIN number (defaults to birthdate - MMDDYY)
- Include the 5 digit course code number (you are unable to register without these numbers)
- Call 1-877-IVY-TECH (489-8324) – a toll free number. Follow the voice registration instructions
- To satisfy fees via phone, follow the voice instructions (you may also satisfy fees on campus.)
Register in Person
- Complete registration form and obtain appropriate authorization to register.
- Have Office of the Registrar enter course selection into the computer.
- Satisfy fees.
NOTE:
- All students are eligible to register for courses, check course schedules, grades and satisfy fees through the Web or phone.
- Students wanting to withdraw from all courses are required to officially withdraw through the Registrar's Office. (Not attending does not constitute withdrawal)
- You can register for classes delivered via Distance Learning using Online Student Services.
