Ivy Tech Launches New Program in Ashley for Working Adults
Ivy Tech Community College-Northeast will launch a day version of their College for Working Adults (CWA) program in Ashley beginning in January. The program will allow students to earn an Associates of Applied Science Degree in Business Administration by attending classes just two days per week. Ivy Tech began offering the CWA program for Business Administration in Ashley a year ago as an evening program.
The College for Working Adults format allows students juggling work and personal lives the ability to be full-time students by attending just two days or two nights per week. Courses are offered in an eight-week format allowing students to complete a full load of courses during the traditional sixteen-week semester. Courses utilize a hybrid format that includes weekly face-to-face meetings along with technological based learning between class meetings.
"The College for Working Adults program gives students an opportunity to earn a two year business degree in two years by attending classes twice a week” Patrick McCormick, CWA Coordinator for Business Administration said. “Having the courses conveniently located in Northeast Indiana is a bonus that saves students both time and money."
Individuals interested in either the day or evening College for Working Adults program in Ashley can contact Patrick McCormick at 260-480-4253 or via e-mail at pmccormi@ivytech.edu for more information.
