Ivy Tech Hosting Fall Harvest Night on October 27
Ivy Tech Community College-Northeast’s Convention and Meeting Management class will host Fall Harvest Night at Ivy Tech that includes dinner featuring the movie “Young Frankenstein” on Tuesday, October 27, 2009. This is a family-friendly event open to the general public until it is sold out. Tickets are $7 and must be purchased in advance (methods of payment: cash or checks made payable to the Ivy Tech Foundation).
Due to the record growth in admissions and continued success of the Hospitality Administration program, an Event Planning curriculum was added as a concentration option this academic year. The class is planning its first fundraiser, benefiting the “Mystery Basket” competition for Culinary students wishing to participate in the Culinary European trip to France.
“A delightful fall meal and the bonus Halloween classic film will be a great way for everyone to embrace the season,” said Heather Eracleous, special events coordinator for Ivy Tech who also teaches the class organizing the fundraiser.
The event will be at Ivy Tech’s new Student Life Center gymnasium on the North Campus (4900 St. Joe Road). Doors open at 6 p.m. with dinner being served at 6:30 p.m. The movie will begin at 7 p.m. Proceeds from the Fall Harvest Night at Ivy Tech will benefit the Culinary European Trip contest. For ticket information, contact Heather Eracleous at 260-480-4120 or heracleous@ivytech.edu.
