Ivy Tech Community College of Indiana strives to maintain proper insurance for liability that arises in the normal scope of our business.  Because Ivy Tech Community College of Indiana is also active in the community, there are instances where special insurance may be necessary to cover liability of specific events.  In addition, special events that fall outside of the College’s normal business must be recorded and forwarded to the Executive Director of Benefits, Safety, and Liability Insurances at Central Office on a monthly basis.  Recording of special events is necessary to keep our liability insurance carrier abreast of specific risks and insure proper coverage is in place as the College’s role changes.

An interactive form to assist in determining whether an event should be recorded on the special events spreadsheet is located in the forms section of Infonet (http://infonet.ivytech.edu/college/forms.html) under “Special Event Recordability”.  Each region has a designated individual responsible for reporting all special events for the region to Central Office.  Please contact the Executive Director of Benefits, Safety, and Liability Insurances at Central Office to determine the designee in your region.
