How old do you have to be to take the GED?

A person should be 18 years of age and no longer enrolled in a High school. Candidates who are 16 and 17 can also take the GED test provided they have the following:

Can I take my GED test online?

Yes, you can take your GED online at one of the participating online testing center. Basic information concerning the GED computer-based exam can be obtained by visiting the State of Indiana's Adult Education website at www.in.gov/dwd/adulted.htm and clicking the Students tab.
