In accordance with the Higher Education Opportunity Act (HEOA) and in conjunction with Follett, Ivy Tech's class schedule search and online registration page in Campus Connect now include the following textbook information:

• ISBN
• author
• publisher
• prices (retail, used and rental when available)

For some courses, the textbook page will display “To Be Determined.” This would be used in situations when a textbook adoption has not been submitted for a particular course.

Textbook information can be accessed two different ways:

Class schedule search:

1. Click the course schedule search link.
2. Select a term.
3. Select a subject and any other options. Scroll down and click the Class Search button when done.
4. Course sections matching your search criterion will be displayed. Click on a course section.
5. Click the View Textbook Information button.

Registration page:

1. Log in to Campus Connect.
2. Click the Self-Service Banner link on the Home tab.
3. Click the Student tab.
4. Click the Registration link.
5. Click the Look up classes link.
6. Select a term.
7. Select a subject and any other options. Scroll down and click the Class Search button when done.
8. Course sections matching your search criterion will be displayed. Click on a course section.
9. Click the View Textbook Information button.

Financial Aid Availability:

• Fall 2010: 7/26/2010 - 9/8/2010
• Spring 2011: 12/13/2010 - 1/26/2011
• Summer 2011: 5/2/2011 - 6/8/2011

Students will need to go to Campus Connect to electronically sign their financial aid authorization (book sheet). This authorization will allow your aid to be released to the Follett Bookstore to charge books and pay for any other miscellaneous charges on your account for the upcoming semester. You may also manually sign an authorization form at your campus Bursar's office. If your aid was authorized for the previous semester, you do not need to repeat these steps.

To authorize use of financial aid in the bookstore, you must follow these steps:

1. Log into Campus Connect at cc.ivytech.edu using your user id and password
2. Select the Student Services Tab
3. Select option Students Click here to:
4. Select Financial Aid Tab
5. Select option #3: Complete Your Requirements & Financial Aid Forms
6. Select Requirements, Verification and Documents
7. Select Aid Year
8. Select Authorize FA to Pay Charges Other Than Tuition and Fees
9. Read form and choose whether to accept or deny the authorization. Acceptance on the first option will allow books to be charged at the bookstore as long as there is available aid after tuition and fees are covered. Acceptance of the second option will allow previous balances from the previous aid year only up to $200 to be covered by current semester financial aid.
10. Click Submit button at bottom of authorization after choosing an option on both authorizations
11. Exit the system
12. Account at bookstore will be available the next day

Title IV (Pell Grant)

• Fall 2010: 7/26/2010 - 9/8/2010
• Spring 2011: 12/13/2010 - 1/26/2011
• Summer 2011: 5/2/2011 - 6/8/2011

3rd party sponsor

• Trade Adjustment Act (TAA) - One week before classes start
• Workforce Investment Act (WIA) - No specific date; When student completes voucher process
• Other various 3rd party sponsor's vary

You should order the book from the online bookstore as the bookstores may not have the correct book for your online course. If the same book is being used in the online course and face-to-face class on your campus, you may purchase from the bookstore or the online store.

Books for all online classes can be purchased at the Follett online bookstore.

Books for traditional classes can be purchased at the Follett online bookstore.

Yes, the bookstore offers many used textbooks. Buying used books can save you as much as 25% or more. Used books are well worth the money, which is why they are in high demand. Be sure to shop early, when the stock of used books is largest, so you can save the most money.

It's important to note that not all NEW textbooks are sold or shipped wrapped in plastic.  Used Books will be identified with a USED textbook sticker.

There is a policy in place which does not allow TAA students to charge books until 1 week before classes start. This also means that TAA students must wait until 1 week before classes start to order any books they will need from their regional book store or from Follett's online.
