Ivy Tech Student Named Equality Day Essay Winner

Julie Gowens, a composition student instructed by Nancy Grammer (Department Chair, English and Communications), was awarded $500 in recognition of her winning the Equality Day Essay Contest. Only one full-time female college student in the city was chosen. August 21 was Equality Day, and participants celebrated women’s right to vote. Congratulations to Ms. Gowens!
