The Business Administration Program is one of the most versatile and practical majors at Ivy Tech Community College. The program is known in the community to produce qualified graduates. Individual attention and guidance is provided for each BUA student. The average class size for all business courses in the fall of 2006 was 15.3.There are internship opportunities available for the AAS degree second-year students. You will receive excellent value for your tuition dollar. Business Administration faculty have years of experience not only as educators, but, equally important, as business professionals. The faculty are involved in professional organizations and have worked in their fields prior to becoming educators.
Classes are offered in a traditional "face-to-face" environment. Class size is small, and you can be assured that your professor will know your name and recognize you as an individual. Internet-only courses are offered for many courses. You will be required to come to campus to take your exams under the supervision of a test "proctor." Hybrid courses are a "hybrid" of traditional and Internet-only courses. Typically, the class meets each week in a classroom for 75 minutes and a significant amount of work outside the class using the Internet is required.
Students may choose to be full-time students (12 or more credit hours) or part-time students (less than 12 credit hours). College for Working Adults is an accelerated option for the AAS degree in Business Administration with a concentration in Management. Students may complete this degree by attending two evenings in the classroom for six semesters (including summers) and completing additional online coursework.
