Students Throw Down at Ivy Tech Robotics Challenge Ivy Tech Community College will host the 10th Robotics Challenge on Saturday, November 11.  Middle and high school teams will “throw down” or compete in “The Gauntlet”.

Will the competitors be tough enough for the “The Gauntlet”?  The teams will build autonomous robots (not remote controlled) and compete in multiple events throughout the day.  The competition will start with a series of small tasks, culminating in more complex tasks.

This Robotics Challenge differs from past competitions because teams will not build their robots prior to the competition.  This year they will build, test and compete all in one day; and then they will compete in one main event.

“The Gauntlet” will be held on Saturday, November 11 from 9 a.m. until 4 p.m. at Ivy Tech, 3501 North First Ave.  “The Gauntlet” will have three small competitions before noon at the North Entrance and run the final contest from 1-4 p.m. in Room 107.
