Practice Makes Perfect…or So They Hope

Students from both Reitz High and Helfrich Park Middle Schools are planning to put their finishing touches on the autonomous robots (not remote controlled) they have built.  They are preparing for the yearly robotics challenge at Ivy Tech Community College.

The practice is taking place at Helfrich Park from 3-5 p.m. on Friday, November 4.

In the robotics competition the students must maneuver their robots on an obstacle course trying to collect ping-pong balls.  With the competition about a week away the students are working hard to build the best robot.  With 30 teams registered, the competition is fierce and they don’t want to leave anything to chance.

The Eighth Robotics Challenge-The Hustle will take place at Ivy Tech on November 11 at 6:00 p.m.
