| Ivy Tech Community College to Sponsor Patriot Day ObservanceIvy Tech Community College will sponsor a Patriot Day observance Monday (9/11), 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. in the Indianapolis Artsgarden at Circle Centre Mall.
The evening, themed “Honoring America’s Heroes,” will pay tribute to the heroes who risked their lives 5 years ago during the terrorist attack in New York City and to the heroes who work to protect the United States and our communities everyday. The event, which is free and open to the public, will center around performances by vocalist Gina Moore, the Ivy Players, the Gregory Hancock Dance Theatre, gospel group JOSHUA, and the Asante Childrens’ Theatre. Derrick Wilkerson of Fox 59 News will emcee.
Ivy Tech Community College is the state’s second largest public post-secondary institution with over 74,000 students enrolled this fall. Ivy Tech has 23 campuses throughout Indiana.
