| Ivy Tech Community College Reports Record EnrollmentIvy Tech Community College reported today that Monday (8/21) the college hit a record high for first day of class enrollment. With 69,803 students enrolled as of Monday, the college’s statewide total headcount was up 6.9% over the first day of classes last fall (8/22/05). Headcount was up 3.4% at the Evansville campus.
“We are pleased with the growth,” stated Jennifer Nagy, Executive Director of Marketing & Communications. “It bodes well for the future. Our building and renovation project will be complete and this time next year will be the first fall semester we can fully utilize our wonderful space.”
The completion of the building and renovation project will allow Ivy Tech to offer additional programs and classes which up until now were not able to be offered due to lack of instructional space.
Ivy Tech Community College is the state’s second largest public post-secondary institution serving over 100,000 students a year. Ivy Tech has 23 campuses throughout Indiana.
