Short-term classes are available to individuals seeking personal enrichment, career development, certification training, continuing education, and basic computer instruction. Many courses are suitable for beginners, eligible Senior Scholars (age 60+), and people wanting to update their skills.

Continuing Education is an important part of Ivy Tech's mission for the citizens of the State of Indiana. These classes are sponsored by the college and offered in open enrollment (continuing education) format to individuals because we believe enough people are interested in the topic to justify offering it locally.

Examples of open classes would include Cosmetology continuing education classes, Computer A+ Pre-Certification classes, Leadership and Management classes, and the Occupational Clusters Program that provides training in a variety of basic skills, and craft disciplines.
