What is RSS?
RSS (Really Simple Syndication) is an XML-based format for distributing and aggregating Web content. Using RSS, Web content providers can easily create and disseminate data that include, for example, news headlines, publications, and summaries. How can I subscribe to Ivy Tech Community College RSS feeds?
Installable Desktop Programs
There are many desktop applications both for Windows PC and Mac users that install onto your system and allow you to download syndications to your desktop. Ivy Tech has tested the free syndication application FeedReader. Be sure and follow the instructions on how to add new RSS syndications to your application.

Online Services
Online syndication tools allow you to access your feed updates anywhere that a computer has internet access. There are a number of free services available, here are a few services tested with Ivy Tech syndications.

Firefox
If you are using the FireFox browser it couldn't be easier to subscribe. Simply click on the small RSS logo in the bottom right-hand corner of the browser window.

After selecting the feed, add it to your bookmarks in the location of your choice. You should then be able to view the dynamic content directly from your bookmarks list.
What kind of content does Ivy Tech syndicate via RSS? Where ever you see this image an RSS syndication is available for that information. By clicking this image you will be forwarded to the XML document that will allow you to subscribe to that feed.
