Ivy Tech Foundation Scholarships for 2008-2009 Academic Year Current and prospective Ivy Tech students can apply for most of the following awards with one common East Central Region scholarship application form.
Applicants must also provide a one-page essay and a letter of recommendation from an unrelated person.

Applications from High School seniors must be returned to the Financial Aid office at the Anderson , Marion or Muncie campus no later than 5:00 pm on Friday, April 11, 2008 .
All other scholarship applications are due by Thursday, May 15th, 2008
Regional Awards
Harvey S. Poling, Jr. Memorial Scholarships
$1,000 award to an outstanding adult student, age 28 or above, with a GPA of 3.0 or higher.
Bob Shoup Memorial Scholarship
$500 award to an outstanding Business Division student with a GPA of 3.0 or higher
John R. Warren Memorial Scholarships
Two $500 awards to outstanding Health Divison students with a GPA of 3.0 or higher
Evelyn Schier Wood/Elinor Belmore Broshare Memorial Scholarship
$500-$1000 award to an outstanding nursing student.
East Central Indiana Payroll Association Scholarship
$500 award to a student in accounting or a business-related program
AFL-CIO Central Labor Council Scholarships
Two $1,000 awards for students from Delaware, Randolph, Madison, Jay, Henry or Wayne Counties with family members who are part of an organized labor union
Muncie Campus Awards
Hurley and Fredine Goodall Scholarships
Two full tuition and book expense awards for minority students from Delaware Co. – awarded in collaboration with The Community Foundation of Muncie and Delaware County
Doris Parson Memorial Scholarships
Two $1,000 awards for students who are single mothers from Delaware County
Ken & Peggy Briner Scholarship
$500-$1000 award to a student in an information technology-related program
Eva and Russell Weiss Memorial Scholarship
$500 award to a Delaware County student enrolled in nursing
Jerry L. Quirk Memorial Scholarship
$500 award to a student enrolled in a Technology Division program
Peggy Darnell Memorial Scholarship
$500 award to a Delaware County resident enrolled in a building trades-related program – awarded in collaboration with the Apartment Association of East Central Indiana
Cheryl Walker Nursing Scholarship
$500-$1000 award to a Delaware County student enrolled in nursing
R. Tiny Adams Scholarship
$500 award to a Delaware County student with a high level of community involvement
Anderson Campus Awards
Michael Hawkins Memorial Scholarship
$1,000 award to a member of Phi Theta Kappa with a GPA of 3.3 or higher
Karen R. Brown/Joseph B. Keene Memorial Scholarships
Two $750 awards for Practical Nursing student intending to practice in Madison County – awarded in collaboration with the South Madison Community Foundation
National City Bank Scholarship
$500 award to a student who has completed one-half of an Accounting, Computer Information Systems, or Office Administration degree with a GPA of 3.0 or higher
Alpha Omega Delta Scholarship
$400 award to a student who has a GPA of 2.0 or higher
Jill Shafer Quate Memorial Scholarship
Two $250 awards to students enrolled in the Anderson MEA program
George S. and H. Loma Berkebile Scholarships
Six $1000 awards to graduates of high schools in the Anderson Community Schools system – awarded in collaboration with the South Madison Community Foundation
Marc Stepp and Odessa Komer Scholarships
Two $500 awards – one each to a female and a minority student – awarded in collaboration with UAW Local 662
Marion Campus Award
Norman and Dorothy Meyerson Memorial Scholarship
$500 award to a non-traditional adult female or minority student from Grant County
