COMPASS Assessment
  • Incoming students must take the COMPASS placement test unless they have ACT scores of 19 in reading, writing and math or SAT scores of 460 in reading, writing, and math, or college credit that substitutes this requirement. If you are eligible, please fill out the COMPASS substitution form.
  • As a service to students there is no fee charged.
  • COMPASS test results places you in the reading, writing and math courses that will provide greater success in your future course work.
  • The test is not timed, but on average it takes about 1 ½ to 2 hours to complete all three sections.   
  • Everything you need to complete the test will be furnished.
  • You must present a current photo ID to take the test.

Testing is available throughout the semester in the Testing Center, Room  C234.
 
It is highly recommended that all students spend time brushing up on their reading, writing and mathematics skills.
