A

Amy K. Akers

Amy K. Akers serves as the Ivy Tech Terre Haute Corporate College assistant and in the Certification Center.  She joined Ivy Tech in 2002, part-time, in the Assessment Center at the main campus and became full time employee in 2010, working as a departmental assistant.   She graduated from Indiana State University, Terre Haute, Indiana in 1993 with a Bachelor of Fine Arts Degree.  Amy has served on the Staff Senate at Ivy Tech since 2007 and is currently Vice-Chair and involved in the Daffodil Days, Ivy Tech’s Annual Yard sale, Matter of Motion, and Annual Car show.  Amy also collects sponsors and walks in the March of Dimes for Babies every year.

Sharon Allen

Sharon Allen serves as Ivy Tech Southern Indiana’s Director of Corporate College. Based in Sellersburg, Sharon collaborates with other members of the Corporate College team to fulfill the training needs of business and industry in the southeastern Indiana region. Sharon joined Ivy Tech in 2010 as adjunct faculty in the School of Business and enjoys her continued work in the teaching area.  An Ohio native, Sharon earned her B.S. in Marketing from Miami University in Oxford, Ohio, and later earned her M.B.A. with a Marketing concentration from Xavier University in Cincinnati. Prior to joining Ivy Tech, she worked as consumer marketing manager for a large regional bank, followed by experience as director of communications for the Cincinnati Bar Association. After eight years of teaching in the New Albany-Floyd County school district, Ms. Allen then served as an account executive for a local marketing firm.

Volunteer work includes serving as coordinator for the St. Marks Clothes Closet, which distributes clothing to the needy citizens of the area, and serving on a soup kitchen team.

Jim Aschliman

Jim has served Ivy Tech Community College for 25 years.  Prior to his current position, he was the Executive Director of Workforce and Economic Development, Director of Student Support and Advising Services and Director of Admissions for Ivy Tech Community College. He currently is a board member of Life-Long Learning for Huntington County and Blue Jacket, Inc., a prisoner re-entry advocacy group. Jim is also involved with many community and professional organizations. Recently he retired after 29 years of military service with the Air Force, Air National Guard - where he served on the Adjutant General’s staff as the State Human Resources Advisor for the Indiana Air National Guard, and the Air Force Inactive Ready Reserves. As a member of the military he has been deployed to various parts of the world including Guam, Jordan, Egypt, Kuwait and Panama.  Aschliman has taught Business and Organizational Leadership courses at Ivy Tech Community College and Indiana University/Purdue University at Fort Wayne.

He has earned a bachelor’s degree in Political Science and a master’s degree in Education Administration, both from Indiana University. Aschliman resides with his wife and daughter in Huntington County where they maintain a small family farm.

Dee Ann Atterson

Dee Ann Atterson is a New Castle, Indiana resident and has worked for Ivy Tech Corporate College for more than 11 years.  She currently serves as the Regional Manager of Certification and Assessment.  This position provides solutions through customized assessments and industry certifications to the central Indiana area.

Prior to her position with the College, Dee Ann was employed by Workforce Development Employment and Training Services for more than 10 years as a training program coordinator.   In this position she planned, implemented, and coordinated state supported funding and grants for employment training activities.  

Dee Ann holds an Associate Degree from Ivy Tech Community College, a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration, and a Master of Business Administration from Indiana Wesleyan University. She is also a LERN certified Professional Program Planner (CPP).


B

Janice Bailey

Janice L. Bailey serves as the Ivy Tech Community College Kokomo Region Corporate College Executive Director.  She joined Ivy Tech in 1984 as an adjunct faculty member teaching in the Business Division.  Mrs. Bailey is a graduate of Indiana State University with a BS in Business Education and a graduate of Ball State University with a MS in Business Education.  Certifications held include the LERN Certified Contract Trainer.  Positions held at the college include full-time faculty member, Business Division Chair, Executive Director of Student Affairs, Dean of the Logansport Campus and Executive Director of The Corporate College.  She is a resident of Carroll County and assists in the family wholesale food and catering business.  Prior to joining Ivy Tech, Mrs. Bailey taught in the Indiana public school system and owned and operated a small business.  Mrs. Bailey currently is a board member for the United Way of Cass County and has served on several local boards in the past.  Volunteer work includes service on several United Way projects, Kokomo Rescue Mission, Reading Railroad, SUCCEED – an entrepreneurial endeavor in Cass County, Indiana.  Mrs. Bailey has been recognized as an outstanding faculty member, nominated for the Glenn Sample Award, chosen for the Shirley B. Gordon Award from Phi Theta Kappa International, honored as the Volunteer of the Year by the United Way of Cass County, and received the Altrusa Award for Outstanding Women Educator in Howard County. 

Terri Bartnett

Terri Bartnett serves as the Ivy Tech Columbus regional Corporate College Workforce Certification and Assessment Center Manager.  She joined Ivy Tech in 2001 after graduating from Southeast Missouri State University with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Education.  Her certifications include:  Elementary Education K-6; Special Education K-12.  Prior to joining Ivy Tech, Ms. Bartnett taught at both the elementary and high school levels in Missouri.  After joining Ivy Tech, she taught college students as an adjunct ASA instructor while also serving as a test proctor before accepting her current role as manager.   Terri is a Columbus resident.

Teresa Begley

Teresa Begley serves as the Ivy Tech Columbus/Franklin regional Corporate College Executive Director.  She joined Ivy Tech in 1979 after graduating from, Georgia Southern University, Statesboro, Georgia, in 1976 with a B.S. Degree in Office Administration and Masters Degree in Business Education from Indiana University in 1984.  Prior to joining Ivy Tech, Mrs. Begley worked as a hotel travel representative for a property in Antigua.  She is a Scottsburg resident, a member of the Pilot Club which is a service organization, focusing on brain related disorders.  She has been a past nominee for Good Neighbor Award of Scottsburg.

Nancy C. Bevli

Nancy C. Bevli serves as the Ivy Tech Southeast Regional Senor Corporate Trainer.  She joined Ivy Tech in 2004. Mrs. Bevli completed her bachelor’s degree with Indiana University and earned a Master’s Degree from Indiana Wesleyan University.   She also has obtained a Senior Professional in Human Resources (SPHR®) certification.  Prior to Joining Ivy Tech she worked for nearly 15 years in HR management in the automotive industry with a Japanese-American Joint venture.  Nancy is a Madison resident and a very active volunteer including Madison Festivals, United Way, Girls, Inc.

Courtney Bowman

Courtney Bowman serves as a support staff member for Ivy Tech Corporate College in the Columbus region.  Courtney joined Ivy Tech in 2006 as a part-time exam technician in the Workforce Certification and Assessment Centers, while working toward her degree. After graduating from, Indiana University, Columbus, Indiana in 2010 with a B.S. Degree in Education with a Dual License in Computer Technology, she was advanced to full-time support for Ivy Tech Corporate College. Courtney also has experience teaching credit and non-credit computer skills courses and Microsoft Office classes for Ivy Tech. She has the Internet and Computer Core Certification, Global Standard 3 and I-Critical Thinking Certification through ETS (Educational Testing Service.) Courtney is a lifelong Columbus resident.

Rhonda Bradley

Rhonda Bradley serves as the Ivy Tech Madison Corporate College assistant.  She joined Ivy Tech in 1999 after graduating from, Indiana Business College, Columbus, Indiana, in 1992 with an Associate in Applied Science Degree in Executive Secretarial.  Prior to joining Ivy Tech, Rhonda worked as an administrative assistant for Indiana Business College, and an order entry clerk at Mariah Foods.  After joining Ivy Tech, she obtained MOS Word Certification, and has completed several professional development training seminars. Rhonda resides in Kentucky where she frequently volunteers for local school events, and is a past board member of the youth softball league.

Mark Brandyberry

Mark Brandyberry is an account executive with Ivy Tech Corporate College.  Mark’s responsibility is to offer value-based training opportunities for area businesses.  Mark hosts public relations events, discovery sessions, professional networks and electronic social networks to demonstrate the effectiveness of emerging media and how each can be optimized for business applications that drive new customer acquisition.

Mark is an enthusiastic advocate of Salesforce and is the resident expert prepared to offer his skills and training coordination to companies wishing to upgrade to the gold standard CRM. Mark is active in professional communities including: Wabash Valley Lean Network;  Lafayette Business to Business; Greater Lafayette Commerce; Junior Achievement.

Mark is a Certified Manager (CM) and member of the Institute of Certified Professional Managers. ICPM is an international organization dedicated to training and improving the skills, best practices and ethics of business managers worldwide. Prior to joining Ivy Tech Corporate College, Mark was founder and president of Show and Tell Marketing, a business targeted at helping major corporations increase the effectiveness at trade shows through the use of entertainment. 

Beau Brown

Beau Brown serves as a Program Manager in the Terre Haute Corporate College office. He joined the Ivy Tech team in 2011 after graduating from Indiana State University with a B.S. in Business with a focus in Risk Management, and is currently pursuing his Masters Degree in Business Administration. Prior to joining Ivy Tech, Beau worked as a Senior Personal Lines Underwriter for Indiana Farm Bureau Insurance in Indianapolis. He is originally from Terre Haute, and enjoys coaching and playing volleyball throughout the area.

Staci Shike Brown

Staci Shike Brown serves as the Wabash Valley Regional Corporate College apprenticeship manager and joined Ivy Tech in 1994.  Brown is a graduate of Indiana State University School of Technology with a B.S. Degree in Mechanical Technology and holds a professional certification as an ASQ Certified Quality Auditor.

Prior to joining Ivy Tech, she was employed as a Quality Analyst & Production Engineer at Great Dane Trailers and has held numerous technical assignments in manufacturing & human resources.    Brown is a Brazil, Indiana resident, serves on the Clay County Chamber of Commerce, Brazil Main Street, Inc. community revitalization organization, and is a senior member of the Wabash Valley American Society of Quality.

O’Merrial Butchee

O’Merrial Butchee is an entrepreneur, business leader and author who started a training and consulting business, focusing on best practices and innovation for clients like Johnson Controls, McDonalds Corporation, Northwestern Mutual Life Insurance Company and The Environmental Protection Agency. Her areas of expertise are critical thinking and writing, building leaders, mentoring and diversity education.  After eleven years as an adjunct faculty member, she joined the Ivy Tech Community College of Indiana Northwest and became the new director of the Gerald I. Lamkin Innovation & Entrepreneurship Center, serving Gary, East Chicago, Michigan City, and Valparaiso campuses. Ms. Butchee has a master's degree in Public and Environmental Affairs and has received degrees and certifications from Purdue and Indiana Universities and La Universidad Ibero-Americana-Mexico.

Robert Calliotte

Robert A. Calliotte (Bob) serves as the central region Ivy Tech Corporate College account executive for the manufacturing sector.  He has a B.S. in Electrical Engineering from the University of Arkansas and MBA from Butler University. Bob joined Ivy Tech in 2007 after serving as Customer Service Manager at Wabash National in Lafayette.  Mr. Calliotte is an Indianapolis resident, married with two grown children and active in his church.  He was chosen to participate in Central Indiana Region’s Pathways to Regional Leadership program and enjoys coaching individuals in their job search and job retention activities.

Beth Chaney

Beth Chaney serves on the Corporate College support team and recently joined the Corporate College staff.  She is eager to get settled in the job and put ideas to work.  Ms. Chaney has been associated with Ivy Tech Community College Kokomo Region since 2004 when she enrolled in the inaugural Dental Assisting Program, graduating with a certificate in 2005 in the program’s first graduating class.  In 2005, while studying in the program, she was able to begin a career working in the dental field, and upon graduation, worked as a Dental Assistant for another four years.  She practiced in a dental office in Plymouth, Indiana and in two different offices in Kokomo.

In September 2009, Ms. Chaney joined Ivy Tech Community College as the switchboard receptionist at the main campus in Kokomo.  In 2011 she was awarded the Excellent Employee Award.  In 2011 she also earned her Associate of Arts in General Studies from Ivy Tech Community College.  Ms. Chaney is currently working on a B.A. in General Studies at Indiana University Kokomo with an expected graduation in December 2012. 

Prince A. Covington Sr.

Prince A. Covington Sr., serves as the Ivy Tech South Bend regional Corporate College account executive. He joined Ivy Tech in 2008 after graduating from Bethel College, Mishawaka, Indiana, in 2001, with a B.A. degree in Liberal Arts and a Master’s Degree in Business Administration with a concentration in management and accounting & finance in 2004. Prior to joining Ivy Tech, Mr. Covington worked for the Central Application Prevention Technologies (CAPT) as a national trainer, facilitating the training services for both new and experienced nonprofit organizations in the areas of nonprofit management, strategic planning, leadership, diversity, coalition building, and social marketing. He also worked for the South Bend Community Schools as a special education teacher. Mr. Covington has served 15 years in the United States Marine Corps. He is currently serving in the United States Army Reserves with the 853rd TC TTP, 766th Transportation Battalion in Hobart, IN as the Commanding Officer.

Mary Craig

Mary E. Craig serves as the Ivy Tech Community College Kokomo Region Corporate College Program Manager/Product Development. She joined Ivy Tech in 1995 as the secretary of Student Affairs. Ms. Craig is a graduate of Indiana University Kokomo with a B.S. in General Studies, and will begin pursuing her M.S. in Leadership Development at Trine University in 2012. Certifications held include Certified Administrative Professional through the International Associate of Administrative Professionals, as well as certifications in all Microsoft Office Suite programs. Positions held at the college include student affairs secretary, financial aid clerk, human resources clerk, business & industry administrative assistant, workforce certification center coordinator. She is a resident of Cass County and serves on the state-wide development team for the recently purchased CRM system (Salesforce).  Ms. Craig is the current United Way Committee Chair for the Kokomo campus internal campaign and served as a United Way Loaned Associate for the 2010 campaign year. In the 1988-99 and 2000-2001 academic years, Ms. Craig was recognized by the student body for her commitment to assisting students, by awarding her the “Helping Hand” award.

Lea Anne Crooks

Lea Anne Crooks serves as the Executive Director Ivy Tech Corporate College. She joined the College in 1992 as an adjunct instructor and transferred to her current department in 1994 as a Project Manager. She was named the Executive Director in 1999. Lea Anne earned a B.S. in Business Education and M.S. in Human Resource Development from Indiana State University. During her 18 years with the College, Lea Anne has developed strong partnerships with the area’s business and industry and participates with numerous charitable organizations.

Tiffany Damitz          

Tiffany Damitz is the director of the Kokomo Event and Conference Center events operation, meeting with all clients to help strategize the implementation of successful event planning. Mrs. Damitz has been associated with the Kokomo Event Center since 2008. Her responsibilities include event staff management, event logistics, sales and marketing, and facility operation.  Mrs. Damitz coordinates the Community Sale event twice a year and works closely with the Automotive Heritage Museum.  After earning a B.A. in Communication from Purdue West Lafayette, she returned to Kokomo and is currently pursuing an MBA through Indiana University Kokomo with an expected graduation in May 2012.  

Jayne Deno

Jayne Deno serves as the Ivy Tech Community College Kokomo Region Corporate College Director.  She joined Ivy Tech in 2010 as an adjunct faculty member, teaching the Management and Supervisory Institute Program and Lean Office.  She joined the college as a full-time employee as Director, Corporate College in September 2010.  Prior to joining Ivy Tech, Mrs. Deno worked for Delphi Electronics and Safety for 28 years in various roles including Communications Manager-Internal/External for Kokomo Operations, Human Resources Manager, Labor Relations Supervisor, and Production Control & Logistics Manager.  She also worked for General Motors Overseas Corporation in Melbourne, Australia for three years as the HR Manager for the Pacific Rim Region. 

A native of Columbus, Ohio, Mrs. Deno is a graduate of Capital University with a BS in Psychology.  She is also a Six Sigma Green Belt.  Mrs. Deno currently directs the Leadership Kokomo program developing leaders in the community and also leads the Indiana NetWORK employment networking group for unemployed and underemployed professionals.   Mrs. Deno has served as Board President for the Gilead House; Kokomo Howard County United Way Steering Committee; Co-Chair of the Designer Show Home, President of the Old Silk Stocking Neighborhood Association, Altrusa, Psi  Iota Xi and the Kokomo Rescue Mission.  She has also served on the annual Ivy Tech Community College scholarship fundraising committee.  Mrs. Deno is a resident of Kokomo.

Rod Dowell

Rod Dowell serves as Director of Corporate College for the Wabash Valley Region. He joined the college in 2006 as a manager and worked on various projects including development of online training for manufacturing companies. Rod earned a Bachelor of Arts degree from Wabash College in Crawfordsville, Indiana in 1989. He has a strong background in Information Systems and Graphic Arts.>

Tom Earnhart

Tom Earnhart serves as a Corporate Trainer with the Ivy Tech Corporate College Division of the Columbus Region. Tom joined Ivy Tech in 2003 and has served as Director of Facilities, Manager of Corporate Accounts and most recently, trainer in the field of Industrial Technology. Tom has an Associates Degree in Aviation Maintenance Technology as well as a BS in Industrial Supervision, both from Purdue University. Prior to joining Ivy Tech, Tom spent almost 30 years in Industry in the Maintenance Engineering and Plant Engineering fields in the foundry, paper and wood veneer industries. Tom is a resident of the Hope, Indiana and is active with the Masons, an avid motorcyclist, licensed aircraft mechanic and pilot and classic car enthusiast.

David Garrison

David serves Ivy Tech Community College as Corporate Executive for Government and in several key governmental program roles since joining the staff in 2003. He is responsible for the development, marketing and coordination of training programs delivered by Ivy Tech for federal, state, and local government agencies and public sectors throughout the state. He is responsible for the promotion and growth of the college for both credit and non-credit programming implemented and managed by the Corporate College.

David has served as the Assistant Director of Student Affairs-Trio in the East Central Region, Account Manager of Workforce and Economic Development – Central Indiana and most recently, as the Project Director for Department of Correction Initiatives –Central office.

Before joining Ivy Tech, he was employed with East Central Opportunities in the WorkOne system and with Muncie Community Schools. Garrison earned his MA in Adult & Community Education and Executive Development for Public Service from Ball State University in December of 2008 and his B.S. from Indiana Wesleyan University in 1996.  

Currently David serves on the Board of Directors of PACE (Public Advocates for Community re-Entry) Indy.  

He is originally from Orleans, Indiana and is married to Malissa Garrison.  They have three children.

Bill Groves

Bill Groves serves as the Ivy Tech Evansville regional Corporate College Account Executive.  He joined Ivy Tech in 2009 after graduating from the University of Southern Indiana with a B.S. Degree in Communications. He is currently pursuing his Master’s in Communications studies at the University of Southern Indiana. Prior to joining Ivy Tech, Mr. Groves worked as a District Sales Manager for 13 years with Aflac.  Bill is an Evansville resident, Scripture study leader at his local Parish, and has been a youth baseball coach for many years.

H

Brian Hamilton

Brian is the Director of Workforce Certification. His office coordinates certification testing services for the College, including operational oversight of the regional Workforce Certification Centers.  Brian has been in the position since August 2010. Prior to his current position, Brian worked in the Central Indiana region as manager of the certification center. Brian holds a Masters in Adult and Community Education from Ball State University.  He joined Ivy Tech in 2004 as a Workforce and Economic Development Program Manager.

Prior to Ivy Tech, Brian worked as a computer instructor and course designer.

Keith Hamilton

Keith Hamilton serves Ivy Tech as a Program Manager, specializing in corporate engagement, for the East Central Region of the Corporate College.   He is an Authorized ACT WorkKeys Job Profiler, having conducted over 300 job profiles for companies throughout Indiana.  He joined Ivy Tech in 2000 after retirement fromGeneral Motors Corporationin Anderson, Indiana. 

Prior to joining Ivy Tech, Keith served in the United States Marine Corps, followed by an Apprenticeship as a mold maker at Ball Brothers Corporation, during which he studied Tool, Die and Gage Design at Lain Technical College in Indianapolis, Indiana. 

Keith completed his Tool and Die Apprenticeship at Delco Remy Division of GeneralMotors and delivered division-wide programs in Statistical Process Control, Vibration Analysis, First-time Quality, and Lean Manufacturing.

Keith and his wife Barbara are lifelong Anderson-area residents.  Keith has served as Vice-chairman and Board Member for the Madison County Community Health Center, and Chairman of the Board of Directors for the Independent Federal Credit Union.  He is a lifetime member of the NAACP and active in civic and community activities.

Lisa Hanner

Lisa Hanner serves as a Program Manager for the Columbus/Franklin region Corporate College.  She joined Ivy Tech in 2004 after graduating from, Indiana Wesleyan University, Marion, Indiana, in 2004 with a B.S. Degree in Management.  Prior to joining Ivy Tech, Lisa worked at Cummins, Inc, (14 years) in various positions, including Payroll, HR, Recruiting, Student employment Program, and Development and Training.  Lisa is a Hope, In. resident.

Kim Haza

Kim Haza serves as Ivy Tech Columbus Interim Director of Corporate College . He is also the Program Chair for Industrial Technology and Advanced Manufacturing. He has been with the college since 2000. He is a graduate of Indiana State University with a B.S. Degree in Career and Technical Education. He also has an Associate Degree, Industrial Electrician from Ivy Tech Community College.

Prior to joining Ivy Tech, Kim worked for Cummins, Inc., for 32 years.  Among the many roles he filled at Cummins were Journeyman Electrician, Union Steward, Plant Training Coordinator and Team-Based Work System Coordinator.

Kim is currently certified to deliver Motoman Robot Program Training. He has received certifications as a Team Based Work System Coordinator, 7 Habits of Highly Effective People Facilitator, Principled Centered Leadership Facilitator, and Achieve Global Facilitator.

He is a life-long resident of Bartholomew County. He and his wife have two sons, a daughter and two grandchildren.

David Hernandez is a Manager of the Corporate College for Ivy Tech Community College Northwest Region.  David has over 30 years manufacturing experience with 25 of those years in progressive supervisory positions from front line supervisor to Operations Manager with total control of all aspects of plant operation and full P&L responsibility.  David earned a Master’s Degree in Management along with 80 hours of Lean Manufacturing Certification from the University of Michigan.  His extensive background includes training programs implementation for supervisors, lean manufacturing, safety, quality, problem solving, SPC and other continuous improvement techniques.  David has also served as an Adjunct Instructor for various local Institutes of secondary education namely Calumet College and DeVry University/Keller Graduate School of Management.

Victor Holove

Victor R. Holove serves as an Ivy Tech, Indianapolis Regional, Corporate College account manager. He joined Ivy Tech in 2010. Vic has an Associate’s Degree in General Business from Mott Community College in 1988, a Bachelor’s Degree in Business Management from Northwood University, Midland, Michigan, in 1998, and an MBA from Anderson University, Anderson, Indiana in 2001.

Mr. Holove has pursued a career in higher education at Kettering University (formerly GMI) as a Corporate Relations Manager and then a transition to the corporate training arena that moved him and his family from SE Michigan, to the Indianapolis area, with companies like Franklin Covey, Paradigm Learning, Lexis Nexis, and LQ Performance Strategies.  During this time he meet with over 1,000 companies in the Midwest consulting with them on performance improvement, background screening practices, training and development, and organizational effectiveness.    

Mr. Holove has also been involved in Boy Scouts of America in various capacities from 1985 to 2010. He has served on committees and on the board of directors for the Central Indiana chapter of the American Society of Training and Development. He is currently serving on the committee for the Strategic Leaders Forum of the local chapter of Indy SHRM (Society of Human Resource Managers).  He remains active in his church, helping members of the church with a career path, job searches, business creations and educational planning.

Terry Huber

Terry Huber serves as the Ivy Tech Evansville regional Corporate College Executive Director.  He joined Ivy Tech in 1986 after graduating from the University of Evansville in 1972 with a B.S. Degree in Psychology.  He is a certified Job Profiler with Saville Holdsworth Limited International, certified in Lean Manufacturing through the University of Kentucky and credentialed in the delivery of Distance Education programming through Indiana University. Prior to joining Ivy Tech, Mr. Huber worked at Welborn Baptist Hospital as Director of the Wellness Center.  Mr. Huber is an Evansville resident and native, serves currently as Board Member of the Metropolitan Evansville Chamber of Commerce, the Lampion Center of Evansville and as a national committee member of the Automotive Manufacturing Training Excellence Coalition. He is a past Board member of the local American Society of Training and Development Chapter, past President of the Evansville Lutheran School Board, Dubois County Alliance to Promote Education Board Member and past President of the Zoar United Church of Christ Church Council. He was the recipient of the Evansville Community Spirit of Giving Award in 2009 and actively supports and participates in numerous civic activities.

Jennifer Hughes

Jennifer Hughes serves as Corporate College program manager for Open Enrollment/Continuing Education for Ivy Tech Community College Kokomo Region.  She joined the Ivy Tech staff in 2009 at the Logansport Learning Resource Center and served as an advisor to Beta Gamma Zeta, the Logansport campus chapter of Phi Theta Kappa International Honor Society. Mrs. Hughes is a graduate of Ivy Tech Community College with an AAS in Administrative Office Technology and a graduate of Indiana State University with a BS in Human Resource Development.  She is currently pursuing an MBA from Western Governors University. She is a resident of Cass County.  Prior to her employment with Ivy Tech Community College, Mrs. Hughes worked in the automotive industry.  Volunteer work includes activities with the Walton Main Street Organization and the Cass County Resource Network’s employment Taskforce.

Rhonda Jackson

Rhonda Jackson serves as a Program Manager for Ivy Tech Corporate College in Columbus after joining Ivy Tech in 2007. She graduated from Purdue University in 1991 with a B.S. Degree in Supervision Management. Prior to joining Ivy Tech, Ms. Jackson worked as a career coach at Columbus North High School, an instructor for Columbus Christian School, and a business manager for Indiana Realty Association.

Randy Johann

Randy Johann serves as the Ivy Tech Southeast regional Corporate College Executive Director.  He joined Ivy Tech in 2002 after graduating from, Indiana University, Bloomington, Indiana, with a B.S. Degree in Public Administration (1985) and a Masters Degree in Public Administration (1987).

He earned certification by the National Development Council as a Certified Economic Development Finance Professional (EDFP) and a certification by LERN as a Certified Program Planner.

Prior to joining Ivy Tech, Mr. Johann worked as an Economic Development Specialist for the Kentuckiana Regional Planning and Development Agency located in Louisville, Kentucky from 1987-1997.  Randy is a Madison resident and is active in the community, volunteering with the Madison Parks Department and various social and civic organizations.

Sherman D. Johnson

Sherman Johnson joined the Ivy Tech Corporate College as Executive Director of Research and Development in May, 2006.

He is responsible for identifying and developing the emerging market training needs of Indiana industries and for those businesses seeking to locate new operations in Indiana.

Currently he is the Project Director for the Crossroads Training Project (DOE Smart Grid grant). In addition, Johnson is a member of Ivy Tech’s Sector Engagement Teams focusing on Transportation, Distribution & Logistics (TDL) and the Energy Sector (Renewable and Fossil Fuels). He works closely with the College’s Advanced Manufacturing Initiative, with special emphasis in the implementation of the Manufacturing Skill Standards Council (MSSC) curriculum and assessments for Advanced Manufacturing, Logistics, and Green Production Workers.

Johnson is a graduate of Michigan State University and has an extensive history in the transportation/logistics field, beginning with his career in the LTL freight business.

Katrina Jones

Katrina D. Jones serves as Director of Ivy Tech Corporate College Bloomington. She joined Ivy Tech in 2005 after graduating with a B.A. Degree in Theology and Education in 2000, and is pursuing a Masters Degree in Management and Leadership from Liberty University (2011). Katrina earned her Certified Contract Trainer certification in 2009. Prior to joining Ivy Tech, Katrina worked at Tupelo Children’s Mansion, first as an English and Journalism instructor, followed by serving as the Executive Assistant. Katrina is a Bloomington resident, choir director, is involved in Ellettsville Chamber of Commerce Community Development Committee, Lawrence County Economic Growth Council, and serves as American Cancer Society Co-Chair for Making Strides Against Breast Cancer annual event.

Steve Klosowski

Steve Klosowski is the Program Director/Department of Correction for the Corporate College of Ivy Tech Community College/Northwest.  He has 28 years of experience in the field of correctional education, and oversees the education programs at both the Westville Correctional Facility and the Indiana State Prison.  He has a BS in Secondary Education from Ball State University and MA with a Sociology Concentration from Valparaiso University.  He also completed the Management Institute offered by Ivy Tech Community College.

Steve has served on the board of directors of the Indiana Criminal Justice Association, and holds a leadership role with the Indiana Chapter of the Correctional Education Association.  He is the co-coordinator of charity events for the Correctional Professionals Assistance Fund of Indiana, and is the President of the Employee Activity Planning Committee at the Westville Correctional Facility. Steve has taught introductory sociology and social problems for Purdue University North Central.

Craig Lamb

Craig Lamb is Executive Director of the Corporate College at Ivy Tech Community College—Lafayette.  His responsibilities include training and education projects in support of community, economic and workforce development.  Worker selection, workplace certification and process improvement are areas of special interest. 

Craig has committed his professional career to assisting individuals and organizations improve productivity and quality of life through training.  Prior to joining Ivy Tech in 1996, he served 14 years as Director of Operations for Tecumseh Area Partnership, Inc., the Workforce Investment Operator for the North Central Indiana region. He holds a B.A. in Organizational Communication from Purdue University and an M.A. in Adult and Community Education from Ball State University.

As Program Lead for Talent Initiatives under the North Central Indiana WIRED initiative, Craig oversees development and delivery of over 25 programs and over $7 million in WIRED funds.

Craig is the founder of numerous workforce training initiatives, including the Ivy Tech Six Sigma Institute, and the SafeWork Indiana program and has facilitated the development of employer-based learning networks, including the Wabash Valley Workforce Consortium and Montgomery County SkillsNet.

Russel “Rusty” Lynd

Russel “Rusty” Lynd serves as the Ivy Tech Region 11 Corporate College Associate Director.  He joined Ivy Tech in 1978 as the Welding Instructor at the Madison Campus.  In 1982, Rusty was selected and received the Glen Sample Award for Excellence. Rusty is currently a Certified Welding Inspector and member of the American Welding Society. Prior to joining Ivy Tech, he was employed at J-Weld as a metal fabricator in Cincinnati, Ohio.  He developed his expertise in manufacturing and welding at Hill-Rom Corporation in Batesville. He is a resident of Milan and is a past member of the Milan Town Council from 1992 through 1996. Additionally, he served on the Utility Board from 1993 to 1996. Rusty coached and was also a Certified Game Official for SAY Soccer thru the Milan Parks Board from 1987 thru 1997 and coached USA Girls volleyball from 1997 thru 2000. He is a member of the IOK Four Wheelers and is currently the Campground Chairman for their facility in Cleves, Ohio.

Michelle Martin

Michelle Martin serves as the Regional Events Coordinator, located in the Ivy Tech Kokomo Event and Conference Center.  Ms. Martin is a native of Indianapolis, a graduate of Warren Central High School, and currently resides in Kokomo.  She graduated from Ivy Tech Community College in 2006 with an Associate of Science in Professional Communication. While at Ivy Tech she was a member of Phi Theta Kappa International Honor Society.  She earned her Bachelor’s degree in General Studies from Indiana University Kokomo in 2008, graduating with honors, and is now pursuing a Master of Science in Public Administration from Indiana University Kokomo.  Ms. Martin has also achieved the Certified Administrative Professional Rating from the International Association of Administrative Professionals. 

Ms. Martin began her career at the College as the Administrative Assistant to the Chancellor. She has worked in contract training sales in Corporate College and most recently served as Director of Alumni Relations.  Prior to her career at Ivy Tech, she worked for various corporations as an Executive Assistant.  Ms. Martin has served on the College’s capital campaign team, chaired the annual scholarship fundraiser, served on the scholarship committee and on the employee recognition committee.  She is also an advisor for Phi Theta Kappa International Honor Society.  Ms. Martin serves on the board of the Kokomo Downtown Farmers Market, the Kokomo Automotive Museum, the Visitors Bureau Tourism Council, and on the United Way of Kokomo Volunteer Activities Committee. 

Sarah Martin

Sarah Martin is the Ivy Tech Community College Kokomo Region Workforce Certification Center testing assistant.  She graduated from Ivy Tech Community College in 2011 with an AAS in Office Administration.   Ms. Martin became a full-time employee in 2010. She has also worked as a study student in various departments and part-time in the certification center. She coaches Little League baseball and has actively supported Ivy Tech Community College functions.  Ms. Martin is from Kokomo and now resides in Galveston.

Marcia Miller

Marcia Miller serves as Corporate College Support and has worked in administrative services for Ivy Tech Community College for six and a half years.  Prior to joining the college, she worked at DuPont Photomasks, Inc. for more than 19 years. 

Mark Moss

Mark Moss serves as an account executive at Ivy Tech Corporate College’s Indianapolis region.  He joined Ivy Tech in 2011 after graduating From Butler University with a B.S. Degree in Business Administration in 1987. Prior to joining Ivy Tech, Mr. Moss held sales leadership roles in companies focused on the application of technology to recruitment marketing, professional continuing education, and planned gift marketing.

A former financial advisor, Mark has led Financial Peace University on Indianapolis’s east-side on several occasions, and serves on the board of MCTip, Incorporated, a wealth management firm.  He is actively involved in a wide range of support to youth and adults through his church, and supports Loving South Africa, which serves the aids epicenter of the world in Kwazulu-Natal, South Africa.

Brenda McLane

Brenda McLane is the statewide Corporate Executive for Life Sciences and Healthcare housed in Ivy Tech’s Corporate College.  She travels Indiana talking with healthcare and life science employers seeking short-term training solutions to resolve workforce issues. 

McLane has been with the college since 1998, beginning her career in Richmond, then transferring to Bloomington as the regional Corporate College Executive Director, working with companies in life sciences, hospitality, healthcare, manufacturing, and more.  She transitioned to this statewide position in November 2010 and now uses her Bachelor’s degree in Business and Master’s degree in Adult Education to focus on the training needs of businesses in the healthcare and life science industries.  She is a LERN Certified Program Planner and holds the Certified Training Consultant credential from Ball State University.  Additionally, she is certified in Extended Disc.  She has developed training courses in customer service, professionalism, and communication, and periodically serves as a facilitator and instructor for Ivy Tech training programs.  With a strong background in management, she has also been integral to the development of Ivy Tech’s HIRE program and the Management & Supervisory Institute. 

McLane is a board member of the Indiana Health Industry Forum and BioCrossroads Linx and serves on numerous internal and external college committees.  She is a former Board member of the Bloomington Economic Development Corporation and the Lawrence County Economic Development Commission, and a graduate of Leadership Bloomington as well as Leadership Fayette County.   

Brenda K. McQueen

Brenda K. McQueen serves as the Ivy Tech Terre Haute regional Corporate College senior executive secretary.  She joined Ivy Tech in 1992.  Mrs. McQueen previously worked at Terre Haute Regional Hospital where she served as Director of Housekeeping, Laundry and Grounds.   She attended Georgetown College in Georgetown, Kentucky and Ivy Tech, Terre Haute.  She completed coursework through the National Executive Housekeeper’s Association and earned both her certification as a Registered Executive Housekeeper.   She taught two classes at Somerset Community College in Somerset, Kentucky for the Kentucky Housekeeper’s Association in Laundry Management and Risk Management.  She also served as 2nd Vice Governor and Education Director for the Kentucky Housekeeper’s Association. She is a Terre Haute resident and pastor’s wife.  She works with youth, is music director, serves as Chaplain and Scholarship Chairman of the Prairieton Women’s Fire Auxiliary, coordinates Dancing with the Stars fundraising for Chances for Indiana Youth, performs at the Community Easter Sunrise Services at Roselawn and various churches, serves on the Finance Committee for the West Central Baptist Association and recently served as a group facilitator at Camp Blue Bird for Cancer Survivors sponsor by Union Hospital’s Foundation.

Nadine Newsom

Nadine Newsom serves as the Ivy Tech Community College Kokomo Region Corporate College Director with emphasis on the apprenticeship program and Veterans Services.  She joined Ivy Tech in 1999 as an apprenticeship coordinator in the former Business and Industry Department.  Mrs. Newsom is a graduate of Indiana University Kokomo with a BA in Social & Behavioral Science and a graduate of Ball State University with a MA in Executive Development of Public Affairs. She is a resident of Howard County and active in the community. Prior to joining Ivy Tech, Mrs. Newsom worked for General Motors for 31 years and was a substitute teacher in the Kokomo Center school system.  Mrs. Newsom currently is a board member for the F.D. Reese Christian Academy and has served on the Gilead House board in the past. She is an advisor for the Loving Hands Adult Day Care, Inc. Volunteer work includes service on several United Way projects, a member of the Volunteer Action Committee of United Way, Kokomo Rescue Mission, scholarship committee at Mt. Pisgah Missionary Baptist Church, and currently co-chair of Ivy Tech Annual Fundraiser for 2012.

Rebecca Nickoli, Ed.D.

Dr. Nickoli is currently Vice President for the Corporate College and Grants Administration for the statewide system office of Ivy Tech Community College.  She previously served at the Richmond campus and as head of the Logansport campus.

Nickoli is a consultant-evaluator and team chair for the Higher Learning Commission (HLC) and a member of HLC’s “First Committee.”  She is a member of the executive board of the National Council of Workforce Education, holding the position of President-Elect and also serves on the board of Accessing Technology through Awareness in Indiana (ATAIN).  Nickoli recently chaired the Joyce Foundation’s “Shifting Gears in Indiana” initiative. In addition, she has been active in the Auto Communities Forum, a group of community colleges and interested partners from industry, research, and philanthropy, developing strategies and new directions for communities significantly impacted by automotive lay-offs and closures.  Nickoli is also involved in the Indiana “Skills2Compete” program and the Indiana Chamber’s “Workforce Wise” project to research and analyze older workers and students in Indiana and to create more effective strategies for serving them. Nickoli holds an Educational Specialist degree in Curriculum and Instructional Planning from Wright State University and a doctorate in Educational Administration from Ball State University in Muncie, Indiana.

T. Deanne Olivo

T. Deanne Olivo serves as an Ivy Tech Columbus regional Corporate College Program Manager.  She joined Ivy Tech in 2007 after graduating from, Indiana University, Bloomington, Indiana, in 2005 with a B.A. Degree in General Studies.  Prior to joining Ivy Tech, Ms. Olivo worked for Dorel Juvenile Group, first as a copy writer while she finished her degree, then moved immediately into a customer service supervisor position.  Prior to Dorel, she learned valuable quality management skills while working  12 years at Unisys Corporation, first as a Customer Service Specialist, followed by a series of assignments and advancements, leading to her promotion to Manager of Claims Operations. Deanne is a Certified Program Planner, a Columbus resident and is owner/teacher of Beth’s Dancenter in Columbus.

Karen Orosz

Karen Orosz is a Manager of the Corporate College for Ivy Tech Community College Northwest Region.  Ms. Orosz has over 10 years of experience in working with business and industry in analyzing workforce development issues.  In this capacity she has designed and implemented recruitment programs and has worked with local Chamber of Commerce in the design and implementation of business, retention, and expansion programs.   Experienced in training needs assessment, Karen’s expertise is very helpful for employers as they determine where to begin skills gap reviews.  Areas of experience include:  manufacturing and industrial technology with emphasis in mechanical and electrical maintenance, heating and air conditioning, welding, and programmable logic controllers.  Other topics include Workplace Spanish and English, CNA, automotive technology, construction technology, and building trade’s apprenticeship.

Beatrice Owen

Beatrice Owenis a Project Manager in the Corporate College, specializing in transportation, distribution and logistics.  She has 20 years of experience in non-profit management, with expertise in information management, outcome assessments, financial services and education.  She is a published author and has taught graduate-level courses in information management at Franklin University.  Her graduate degree, in public policy, is from the Ohio State University.  Beatrice is a Certified Logistics Associate (CLA) and Certified Logistics Technician (CLT) designations.  She is an OSHA certified trainer for Safety Process Management.  One of her major projects involved complete data conversion at a 200-bed sub-acute medical facility.  The HIPAA-initiated conversion occurred as planned, without any down-time, with fully trained staff, proficient with a new computer system worked.

Kenneth Parry

Kenneth F. Parry serves as the Ivy Tech Community College Kokomo Region Corporate College sales associate.  He joined Ivy Tech Corporate College in September 2011.  Mr. Parry is a graduate of Eastern Michigan University with a B.S. in General Science and a graduate of Indiana Wesleyan University with a M.S. in Executive Management. Chrysler certifications include quality trainer, lean manufacturing specialist, continuous improvement facilitator, ISO auditor, and master planner. Positions held during his 20 plus years at Chrysler include quality engineer, supervisor (both quality and production), product engineer, lean manufacturing specialist, production area manager, throughput manager, operations manager and strategic business planner. Volunteer work includes coaching Kokomo High School Girls Softball and Howard County Thunder Girls Fast Pitch Softball.

Dawn Pelc

Pelc is a Project Manager for Ivy Tech Corporate College Northwest Region. Dawn has over 20 years of non-profit experience, addressing quality-of-life issues in Northwest Indiana. Her experience includes delivering programs and services to clients, providing professional educational opportunities for staff and volunteers, and managing philanthropic programming. As a development director, her responsibilities included: capital campaigns, annual fund and membership drives, endowments, planned giving, grant and volunteer management, and event planning. Dawn has a BS from Ball State University with an emphasis in communication and journalism and an MPA from Indiana University with a concentration in non-profit management. Dawn completed the Certified Logistics Associate (CLA) and Career Development Certificate (CDC) from Ivy Tech Community College and is a certified trainer for OSHA Safety Process Management. Dawn has spent numerous years researching and advocating for public policy initiatives dealing with quality of life issues. She is a member of the St. John Planning Commission, Coastal Advisory Board for the Lake Michigan Coastal Program, Indiana Department of Natural Resources, Purdue Watershed Environmental Soil and Hydrology Forum, and assisted with the Lake Central School Corporation Referendum 2009.

Jean E. Perrin

Jean E. Perrin serves as the Ivy Tech North Central regional Corporate College Executive Director.  She joined Ivy Tech in 2004 after graduating from, Valparaiso University, Valparaiso, Indiana, in 1977 with a B.A. Degree in Political Science and Business and Masters Degree in Adult Education from Indiana University in 2006.  She is a PhD in Adult Education candidate at Walden University.   Prior to joining Ivy Tech, Ms. Perrin worked at Indiana University South Bend as a program manager in the Division of Continuing Education.  Jean is a South Bend resident, Rotary South Bend member, serves on the boards of Habitat for Humanity of St. Joseph County and Kosciusko Economic Development Corporation and also serves on the Economic Development Council of the Greater Elkhart Chamber of Commerce.

Mike Pickrell

Mike Pickrell is the Corporate College Director for Ivy Tech’s East Central Indiana region. Based in Anderson, he works to fulfill the training needs of business and industry in Anderson and Madison County.   He also oversees a variety of training programs and special projects designed to help citizens of the region improve their skills and obtain workforce credentials.  He joined Ivy Tech in 2000 as a training program manager and has served as apprentice enrollment manager and associate director.  Prior to joining Ivy Tech, Mike worked in area automotive plants as an educational development counselor with the University of Michigan School of Social Work.  He has an extensive background in employment & training and co-authored “The Work Book: How to Get the Job You Really Want.”  He has a Bachelor of Science in Psychology for Indiana-Purdue University, Indianapolis. Luke Pinkerton

Inge Power

Inge Power serves as one of the Ivy Tech Columbus regional Corporate College Program Managers.  She joined Ivy Tech in 2000. She holds an Associate’s Degree in Computer Technology from Gera, Germany from 1977 and also graduated with an AAS in Visual Communications from Ivy Tech in Terre Haute in 2004. Inge Power started with Ivy Tech in the Copy Center at the Terre Haute Campus and then moved to Columbus to join the now Corporate College team as an Administrative Assistant. She now is a Program Manager; her strong points are in the field of manufacturing especially Welding. She developed the Welding Institute, which is a fast track career oriented training ending in AWS certification. She is a member of the American Welding Society (AWS); she is a Certified Contract Trainer (CCT). She was born and raised in former East Germany and became a United States citizen in 2003. Inge Power is bilingual with German being her second language. Locally she is a member of the Bethel Apostolic Church in Greensburg, IN.

Alisha Raider

Alisha Raider serves as the Ivy Tech Indianapolis Corporate College Regional Operations Manager.  In her role she oversees the departmental marketing and communication processes, curriculum design and development, and serves as the Ivy Tech Corporate College representative on various partnership initiatives.  She joined Ivy Tech in 2007 after graduating from, Ivy Tech Community College in 1996 with an Associate’s Degree in Business Administration and continuing her education at Indiana Wesleyan University, earning a Bachelor’s Degree in 2001 and Master’s Degree in 2008, both in Management.  Prior to joining Ivy Tech, Ms. Raider worked as a Corporate Training Director at Lincoln Bank.  Alisha is a Greenwood resident, volunteers for the Make-a-Wish Foundation and the Riley Children’s Hospital Foundation, and is active in the extra-curricular activities of her two sons.

Marcos Rodriquez Jr.

Marcos Rodriquez Jr. is the Apprenticeship Enrollment Manager for Ivy Tech Community College Northwest.  He received an M.B.A. in 2008 from Indiana University Northwest and a B.A. in psychology from Valparaiso University in 2000.  Marcos has seven years of experience with Ivy Tech Community College, working with Northwest Indiana's building trades, employers, and community organizations.  In this role, Marcos manages all enrollment and grant activities, account reconciliations, curriculum, and Department of Workforce Development reporting.  His previous experiences allowed him to serve commercial and industrial firms, providing environmental remediation, sales support, and account management in the Chicagoland area. Marcos is also an adjunct instructor online for the College of Court Reporting and very experienced with various learning management systems and computer-based desktop applications.

Doug Ruggles

Doug Ruggles serves as an Ivy Tech Indianapolis regional Corporate College account executive.  He joined Ivy Tech in January 2011 as the Prioritize Grant Program Manager with the responsibilities for managing the Computer Information Technology, Healthcare Information Technology –Associate Science Degree programs and the Electronic Systems Technician Certification program.  Doug graduated from DePauw University, Greencastle, Indiana in 1983 with a B.A. Degree in Sociology.  Prior to joining Ivy Tech, Mr. Ruggles worked at F.A. Wilhelm Construction Co., Inc. as the Corporate Training Director, designing and implementing a corporate university, including training and performance management systems.  Before working at F.A. Wilhelm Construction Co., Inc., he spent 14 years with Roche Diagnostics in several training roles, developing and delivering training programs for the medical diagnostics division.  Doug is an Indianapolis resident, served in  community and volunteer leadership roles; local Boy Scout leader, and youth sports.

Katrinka Schroeder

Katinka S. Schroeder serves as an Account Executive at Ivy Tech Corporate College Bloomington.  She joined Ivy Tech in 2008 as an Adjunct Faculty member, focusing on soft skills development, and then in 2009 as a full-time Program Manager.  Katrinka brings over 10 years of experience in the Human Resources Learning & Development  field. Prior to joining Ivy Tech, Katrinka worked at Baxter Healthcare Inc., headquartered in the Chicagoland area.  She began as an HR Training Specialist, followed by a series of assignments and advancements, leading to her promotion to HR L&D Senior Analyst/Facility Lead at the Bloomington facility in 2004. Her background in the corporate training area (with a focus on eLearning and professional development) as well as a facilitator of soft skills and manufacturing readiness training brings a valuable perspective to the Corporate College Account Executive position. Katrinka is currently enrolled in a Business Management bachelor’s degree program at American Public University. She is a Certified Contract Trainer (CCT) with The Learning Resources Network (LERN), Management & Supervisory Institute (MSI) Certified for Ivy Tech Community College, and completed Needs Analysis & Instructional Design classes at Langevin Learning Services. Katrinka is a Bloomington resident, has served as a Court Appointed Special Advocate for Monroe County, and is active in various community services programs.

Dennis Shepard

Dennis Shepard serves as an Ivy Tech Terre Haute Corporate College assistant.  He joined Ivy Tech Terre Haute in 2010 as a testing center assistant.   Dennis is a Terre Haute resident, father of four, and a member of Phi Theta Kappa Honor Society.  He will graduate from Ivy Tech Community College in May, 2012, with an A.S. degree in Computer Information Systems.

Amy Sproull

Amy Sproull serves as a Program Manager for Ivy Tech Corporate College in Bloomington.  She joined Ivy Tech in 2008. She graduated from Ivy Tech in Spring of 2008 with an AAS in Office Administration and from Indiana Wesleyan University in Spring of 2010 with a B.S. Degree in Business Management.  Prior to joining Ivy Tech, Amy worked at Kohl’s Department Store as well as Southern Indiana Family Practice Physician’s Office.  She is a Bloomington resident, who frequently serves as a volunteer at the Monroe County Humane Society and at the People and Animals Learning Services (PALS).  She continues her civic engagement, serving as a mentor for the Early College Mentoring Program at Bloomington High School North.

Ariane Smith

Ariane Smith is an account executive for Ivy Tech Corporate College, Central Indiana. She joined Ivy Tech in 2007 after serving as Regional Operations Manager for Flagstar Bank.  She recently graduated from, Indiana Wesleyan, Marion, Indiana, in with a M.S.M in Strategic Management.  Prior to joining Ivy Tech, Ariane worked at Macy’s as an Area Manager.

Sue Smith

Sue Smith serves as the Corporate Executive for Advanced Manufacturing and Technology with statewide responsibility to provide training services for the manufacturing sector.  With more than 13 years experience in manufacturing, primarily at Arvin Automotive, which later became Arvin Merritor, Smith has expertise in systems, processes, and corporate environments.

Mrs. Smith has been with Ivy Tech Community College for over twenty years in the Workforce and Economic Development Division, now Corporate College.  As Executive Director at the Columbus Region, she developed and managed numerous training programs, including traditional skilled trades and industrial apprenticeships.  Additionally, she coordinated the training centers, including the Advanced Manufacturing Institute and the Advanced Manufacturing Center for Excellence. 

She is a national presenter and holds certifications in leadership and training programs, including a CCT and CCP from LERN International, and a Master Trainer certification from Achieve Global.  She has completed Greenbelt Training through the American Society of Quality and Ivy Tech’s Lean Six Sigma Institute.  She has an MA from Antioch University McGregor, Yellow Springs, OH, and a BA and an AS from Indiana University, Bloomington, Indiana.

A skilled industrial instructor, Sue Smith adds a high-degree of diversified experience to her educational and classroom expertise which includes academic communication, English classes and professional certification training in leadership and employee development.

Terry L. Smith

Terry L. Smith is a Manager of the Corporate College for Ivy Tech Community College Northwest Region.  Mr. Smith has over 30 years of experience in a broad range of industrial and educational environments performing roles in workforce and economic development, materials management, information technology and management consulting.  In these roles he has both developed and delivered training and education courses and curriculum on topics to include:  transportation logistics and distribution, industrial maintenance, problem solving, management and supervision, materials management, and project management.

James L. Teeple is Project Director for a statewide Department of Labor grant with a scope to train and skill displaced workers for potential job placement in high growth emerging industries. Since joining Ivy Tech in early 2003, he has worked primarily in workforce/professional development with the Corporate College as Director of Operations and Project Consultant to develop and enhance the workforce skills of individuals for business and industry in Northeast Indiana.

Prior to Ivy Tech Community College,  he diversified  a twenty plus year career in the Quality Assurance profession in various manufacturing industries including Computer Data Storage Systems, Medical Devices, Tier 1 and Tier 2 Automotive.  Specialties included leadership in quality management standards implementation and third-party certification; process control and continuous improvement methodologies; metrology and precision measurement; customer relations; and quality systems auditing.

Mr. Teeple earned an Associate degree in Management at Front Range Community College in Denver and completed a Bachelor of Science degree in Organizational Management at Huntington University. He holds numerous professional certifications and maintains active membership and roles with professional affiliations such as the American Society for Quality (ASQ) and the Society of Manufacturing Engineers (SME) while currently pursuing a Masters in Executive Development for Public Service at Ball State University.

Connie Swoveland

Connie Swoveland is a Henry County resident and has worked for Region 6, Ivy Tech Corporate College for more than 12 years, and  currently serves as an Associate Director for the region.  In this position she is responsible for developing, customizing, and implementing employer services, assessments, and training programs to meet the changing workplace needs of business and industry in the central Indiana area.

Prior to her position with the College, Connie was employed by Workforce Development for more than 23 years as a training program coordinator and county manager.  In this position she planned, implemented, and coordinated state supported funding and grants for employment training activities for disadvantaged youth & adults, dislocated workers, displaced homemakers, veterans, and others.  In addition, she   provided consulting services to individuals and businesses for training in workplace harassment awareness, interview skills, performance evaluations, resume and employment portfolio development, and other human resource issues. 

Connie attended Indiana University, Purdue University for organizational leadership, supervision and human resource management, and has participated in numerous classes at Ivy Tech.  She completed the Real Estate pre-licensing course and is a LERN Certified Program Planner (CPP). Her professional and personal interests include owning and managing rental properties, serving as past chair of the Henry County Human Relations Commission, past member & president  of the New Castle Community School Board, chair of the city Parks and Recreation Committee, member of the zoning board, and the board of utilities, New Castle Area Career Programs Advisory Board, Henry County Continuing Education Committee, and an active member of the First Baptist Church.

Bill Thon

Bill Thon is the Executive Director of the Corporate College for Ivy Tech Community College/Northwest.  He has 22 years in manufacturing/union production management, continuous improvement & human resource management. His areas of training have included, Continuous Process Improvement, Certified Lead Auditor – ISO 9001/QS 9000, World Class Manufacturing Disciplines, Kaizen Methodology and Team Building. He has a BS from Purdue University /Calumet & an MS in Secondary Education from Indiana University / Northwest. A former public school teacher and coach for 9 years. Since 1997, Bill has taught Organizational Behavior, Strategic Management, and Human Resource Management, Labor Relations, Negotiating Skills at Calumet College, Purdue Calumet and Keller Graduate School of Management. Bill is currently an adjunct instructor at Ivy Tech and teaching since 2005 in the areas Business, Human Resource Management and Manufacturing Industrial Technology areas.

Kim Thurlow

Kim Thurlow serves as the Ivy Tech Richmond regional Corporate College Executive Director.  Kim graduated from Butler University with a B.S. degree in Business Administration.  She joined Ivy Tech’s training office in 1992 and through a succession of positions became Executive Director in 1996. 

Prior to joining Ivy Tech, Kim worked in the short line railroad industry, and also in the public sector with youth job programs. She has served on economic development boards, Junior Achievement boards, has participated in literacy tutoring programs and was awarded the Volunteer of the Year award by the Richmond Chamber of Commerce in 1998.

Antonella Thurmond

Antonella Thurmond has served in several key areas of the college over the last 15 years.  She graduated from Ivy Tech Community College in 1994 with an A.A.S. in Medical Assisting.  Several years later she began to work for the college as both an adjunct faculty member and an academic advisor in the School of Health Sciences.

In 2010, she advanced to the coordinator for the Department of Labor Grant in the Corporate College. She also supports Ivy Tech Community College by volunteering her time in support of college fundraisers in Wabash and Kokomo. 

Darlene Tyson

Darlene Tyson is an Ivy Tech Community College Kokomo Region Workforce Certification Center Proctor.  She graduated from Ivy Tech Community College in 2011 with an A.A.S. in software.  She joined the certification center staff in July 2011.  She volunteers with the Four County Mental Health Association in Peru.

Donna M. Ulrich

Donna M. Ulrich joined Ivy Tech Sellersburg Corporate College as the Account Executive in the business sector.  She has been adjunct faculty for 3 years at Ivy Tech, with a corporate background in Human Resources, after graduating from Bellarmine University with an M.B.A and Indiana University with a B.A. in Psychology.  Donna’s background includes all Human Resources functions, including training and development.  She has worked as a HR consultant to businesses for over 15 years and is highly skilled in matching business needs with creative solutions that add value of a diversified combination of advanced education and extensive workplace experience.

Jacqueline R. Varnell

Jacqueline R. Varnell serves as the Ivy tech Community College Kokomo Region Corporate College Program Manager. She joined Ivy Tech in 2011 as an adjunct faculty member, teaching the certified production technician (CPT) program.  Jacqueline is a recent graduate from Indiana Wesleyan University with a master’s of science and management (MSM-strategic management).  She completed her BA in church ministries with an emphasis upon youth from Southeastern University, Lakeland Florida.  Certifications and licensures include: CPT and Green Production Manufacturing. Prior to joining Ivy Tech, Ms.Varnell worked at Chrysler Corporation for eleven years.  She had diversified experience in production, assembly, material control, and quality.

Ms. Varnell is a Cass county native, who currently resides in Howard County.  She has served her local community by teaching and ministering in her local church, volunteering for the “We Care” annual telethon and other charitable fundraising. She started a number of ministries that are still impacting lives today.

Vinita M. Williams

Vinita M. Williams is the Ivy Tech Community College Kokomo Region Workforce Certification Center Coordinator.  Mrs. Williams joined Ivy Tech in 2010 as the testing assistant/scheduling coordinator for the certification center.  Mrs. Williams is a graduate of Fontbonne University with a BA in Business Administration.  Mrs. Williams has served as an adjunct faculty member teaching Microsoft Office through the Corporate College.  She is a member of the Regional Assessment Committee and mentoring program sponsor by Ivy Tech.  Prior to joining Ivy Tech, she volunteered her time and skills at the Howard County United Way.  Mrs. Williams is originally from St. Louis, Missouri and held positions as State Eligibility Specials, administrative assistant, marketing assistant, and human resource assistant.   She currently resides in Kokomo. 

LaShung Willis

LaShung Willis is the Director of the Health Industry Institute for Education and Training Services (HIIETS) at Ivy Tech Community College Northwest. LaShung has diverse professional experience in working with large corporations, city government, military, financial institutions, public utilities, education, hospitality/gaming, and non-profit organizations. >her expertise in customer/guest service procedure development, workplace diversity, teamwork and organizational development.

Cassondra Wilson

Cassondra Wilson serves as the Ivy Corporate College Account Executive for the Columbus/Franklin region.  She joined Ivy Tech in 2011 after graduating from, Indiana Wesleyan University, Marion, Indiana with a B.S. Degree in Business Management.  Prior to joining Ivy Tech, Ms. Wilson worked at Cummins Inc., first as an Advertising and Communications Manager, followed by a role as an Account Manager with experience in Supply Chain delivery processes for manufacturing and Marketing  Aftermarket services and products.  Cassondra is also a Columbus resident.

Roy J. Winkler, Ph.D.

Roy Winkler has served as the executive director of Corporate College in East Central Indiana since 1998.  In that capacity, he heads a staff of 33 people serving the needs of business, industry, and adult students interested in professional development.  The Region of the College for which Roy is responsible includes seven counties in East Central Indiana with three campuses, in Anderson, Marion, and Muncie.

Roy holds degrees in Machine Tool and Management in addition to a Ph.D. in education.  He joined the college from General Motors where he headed the organizational consulting arm of Delco Remy Division.  Previously, he worked as a Skilled Trades Tool & Die Maker and a production worker in the manufacturing plants in Anderson Indiana.

In the community, Roy has served as a trustee and past president of the Anderson Community School Board, as a member of the State Board of Trustees of Ivy Tech Community College, as a member of the Indiana State Water Pollution Control Board, and as a member of the Board of Directors of Independent Federal Credit Union and Lifestream Incorporated.

Roy and his wife Bess (Ferrell) Winkler reside in Anderson Indiana.

Jennifier Wood

Jennifier E. Wood serves as Ivy Tech Corporate College support for the Kokomo Region.  She joined Ivy Tech in 1998 in the Business Office as accounts receivable clerk, and then moved to human resources in 2004.  Mrs. Wood joined the Corporate College in 2008. She served on the United Way internal campaign committee for 12 years, and for three years chaired the committee.  She worked on the Ivy Tech Community College fundraising committee for six years and was the donations chairperson for three years, and was a member of the Ivy Tech Scholarship Committee for 12 years.  Mrs. Wood volunteers her time at the Kokomo Rescue Mission. Her certifications include the LERN Certified Contract Trainer, LERN Certified Professional Planner, IC3 Certification and the iCritical Thinking Certification.

Sheryl Ziegler

Sheryl Ziegler joined Ivy Tech in 2009 as an assistant to the Workforce & Economic Development Department and continues in this position at the Corporate College, Columbus campus.

Sheryl attended Xavier University and the University of Cincinnati, majoring in Communications.  Prior to joining Ivy Tech, she worked for the Columbus Indiana Philharmonic as the Education Administrator where she served both the Columbus Indiana Children’s Choir and the Youth Orchestra in developing programs.  Prior to moving to the Columbus, Indiana area, Mrs. Ziegler worked for 14 years at Hill-Rom in Batesville, Indiana as Assistant to the Vice President of Sales.

Sheryl resides in Columbus with her family and serves on the Columbus North Booster Board and is active in the St. Bartholomew Catholic parish and volunteers at the Hot Meal Site in Columbus.
