Use of COMPASS Scores for Placement

COMPASS assessment is available at no cost to students and is the most common way Ivy Tech students demonstrate their readiness for college-level coursework. COMPASS is a placement instrument, created by ACT and used by post secondary institutions in Indiana and surrounding states to place college students into coursework appropriate for the students' skill level.
