The BPI Combination course combines Building Analyst and Envelope-Shell training to provide a dual certification for individuals as energy auditors and envelope-shell professionals. This dual certification provides specialization in thermal envelope and pressure boundary. Students will learn the fundamentals of energy and energy transfer, energy systems within a home, the "home as a system" concept, common construction errors that reduce comfort and efficiency, and ways to enhance a home envelope's thermal and pressure boundaries through insulations & air sealing techniques.

This course is a residential specialization that focuses on ways to enhance a home envelope's thermal and pressure boundaries through insulation and air sealing techniques. Every home is different and it is important to understand why problems related to the building (moisture, ice dams, mildew, and drafts, etc.) were created in the first place. As an individual, this course will prepare you to understand not only how to analyze a home, but help you understand what solutions to implement.
BPI HEATING SPECIALIST TRAINING

This Everblue BPI Heating Specialist Certification course; includes 5 days of classroom and field training as well as the BPI Heating Professional written and field exams. This course covers heating system science, load & system sizing, ventilation system design & installation, and system diagnostics. Audiences for the course include: HERS Raters, BPI Building Analyst Professionals, HVAC Professionals, Insulation Professionals, Home Builders, Home Inspectors, General Contractors, Home Builders, Engineers, and Architects. Credentials: BPI Heating Specialist (Industry-recognized by Building Performance Institute). Note: Tuition does not include Field Testing fees or exam fees.
