Eliza graduated from Indiana University with a Master of Science in Education and a Bachelor of Arts in Communication and Culture and Telecommunications. While at IU, Eliza was actively involved with the student radio station WIUX. She hosted a talk show and served on the board of directors for two years. Eliza started her career in Student Affairs as a work-study for the IU Groups Program. It was in this position that she developed a passion for helping students succeed in higher education. After graduating with her Master's Degree in Student Affairs, she joined Ivy Tech as an Academic Advisor. Today Eliza serves as the Director of Advising.

Courtney graduated from Indiana University with a Bachelor of Arts in Journalism and a heavy concentration in Gender Studies. Since graduation, Courtney has worked on the marketing side of publishing, serving as both an advertising coordinator and a literary publicist. Courtney came to Ivy Tech Bloomington in August 2012 as an HR Assistant and joined the advising center in September 2013 in order to work more closely with students and help them reach their own educational goals. Outside of work, Courtney enjoys writing, cooking and running. She has participated in several half marathons and completed her first full marathon in the fall of 2013.




Neil Frederick

Neil completed a Bachelor of Science degree in Social Work from Ball State University with a minor in Interpersonal Communication.  Previously, he was an adult probation officer and an employment and job skills training specialist for a federal job training program.

Neil has been with Ivy Tech for over 25 years with experience in admissions, career services, business and industry training, recruitment, and now academic advising. In addition, he has completed the College's Leadership Academy in 2004, assisted as a Student Government Association advisor, and taught IVYT 120 New Student Seminar classes.

Neil is a recreational runner with a number of road races, half-marathons and a couple of marathons completed. 


Katie Anderson

Katie began her job at Ivy Tech in Career and Employment Services during the time of the closing of the Thomson RCA plant, and as the IT bubble was rising in Bloomington --- learning the profound nature of career decision making along with Ivy Tech students.  Katie is also responsible for coordinating career services, which includes assisting students with internships, co-ops, interviewing skills and employment searches. Katie earned a Bachelor of Arts in Music from Indiana University.

Jessica has been with Ivy Tech Community College - Bloomington since 2004.  She began her career with Ivy Tech as a work-study for the Workforce and Economic Development department.  After completing an Associate of Applied Science degree from Ivy Tech in 2006, she accepted a position as a Student Affairs Assistant.  During her time in this position, she discovered a passion for helping students to achieve their educational goals.

Jessica received her Bachelor of Science degree in Applied Management from Franklin University in 2011.  Jessica began her career as an Academic Advisor in 2011.  

She is also serves as an advisor for the Christian Challenge Club. 

Jessica enjoys spending time with family which includes her husband and son.

Ferdinand received his Bachelor of Science in Kinesiology from Indiana University Bloomington and has lived here for 25 years. During this time span, he received a Certificate in Massage Therapy.

Ferdinand enjoys spending time with his family which includes his wife, two little girls and two dogs. He has been with Ivy Tech Bloomington for over six years which has included positions in admissions, financial aid, and advising.

Antonia is a graduate of Indiana University, Bloomington, where she received a Bachelor of Arts in Gender Studies and a Master of Library Science. She worked in the library on Ivy Tech's Bloomington campus before joining the Advising team. Her interests include LGBT issues, Disability Studies, Information Literacy and Children's and Young Adult Literature.

Noel has been with Ivy Tech Community College - Bloomington since 2010.  He began his journey with Ivy Tech as a work study in the Registrar's Office which moved into a part time position.  Noel joined the Gayle and Bill Cook Center for Entrepreneurship as the Administrative Assistant and became the Coordinator in January 2011.  He joined the Advising Center team in September 2012. 

Noel is a Business Administration graduate of Ivy Tech and has his Bachelor's degree from Franklin University in e-Marketing.  He is currently pursuing a M.B.A. in Executive Management at Indiana Wesleyan University.

Noel also is a musician and freelance artist of 20 years.  He was the winner of the Indiana Career and Technical Education Award for Excellence in post-secondary education in 2010 and the 2011 recipient of the Academic & Leadership Scholarship through Franklin University. 




Amy Coy

Amy came to Ivy Tech as a student seeking to supplement her laboratory skills by earning a career development certificate through the biotechnology program.  She was subsequently given the opportunity to join the Ivy Tech team - with the School of Technology by assisting with recruitment and advising.

Amy earned a Bachelor of Art in Biology from Indiana University and spent several years managing a research laboratory in the Medical Sciences Department at IU before coming to Ivy Tech.  She enjoys spending time with family and friends, reading and getting her two sons out Geocaching.
