Norm Anderson Memorial - IBEW Local #725 Scholarship
Awarded in the fall and spring terms. Students may receive the award both terms, but must remain in good academic standing and must reapply for the spring term and submit a revised essay.
ESSAY REQUIRED
The scholarship was established by I. B. E. W. union workers in honor of Norm Anderson to help Ivy Tech - Bloomington students gain the skills necessary to succeed in the workplace.
Eligibility criteria:
1. Minimum cumulative GPA: 2.0.
2. Student must remain in good standing at the Ivy Tech - Bloomington campus for the duration of the scholarship.
3. The student must write a one-and-a-half page essay on "How Organized Labor has Affected Society in the Last 100 Years". Essay must be submitted to the Resource Development Office.
4. Applicant must be a member or immediate family member of the I. B. E. W. or a member of the local community.
American Business Women’s Association (ABWA) Scholarship
Awarded in the fall term.
The Bloomington Charter Chapter of the ABWA Scholarship is designed to assist Ivy Tech-Bloomington students in achieving degrees through the School of Business. Preference will be given to women and non-traditional students.
Eligibility criteria:

2. Students must be enrolled in the School of Business.

Anonymous Nursing Scholarship
Awarded in the spring and summer terms.
This scholarship is posted and awarded through the Nursing Department.
ASA Book Scholarship
Awarded in spring, summer and fall terms.
The scholarship was established to help Academic Skills Advancement Students with financial need to purchase books.
Eligibility Criteria:
1. Financial need must be demonstrated. FAFSA must be on file.
2. Recipients(s) must be enrolled in at least one Academic Skills Advancement course.
3. Emergency funds can be made available.
Associate of Science in Nursing (RN) Scholarship
Awarded in spring, summer and fall terms.
The scholarship was established by a Bloomington Friend of Ivy Tech to fund a full scholarship to a student seeking an Associate of Science in Nursing degree. Partial scholarships may be available.
Eligibility Criteria:
1. Must be enrolled in ASN program.
2. Student must be a United States citizen.
3. Preference in selection will be given to applicants who have demonstrated a dedication to community
service during secondary school and previous college experience.
4. Preference will be given to non-traditional students.
5. Preference will be given to residents of Monroe, Owen, Greene, Brown and Lawrence counties.
Baxter Pharmaceutical Solutions LLC Biotechnology Scholarship
Awarded in the fall and spring terms.

The scholarship was established by Baxter Pharmaceutical Solutions LLC to assist students pursuing degrees in the field of the Biotechnology at Ivy Tech – Bloomington.
Eligibility Criteria:
1. Applicants must be students currently enrolled in the Biotechnology Program at Ivy Tech Community College – Bloomington.
2. Student must have successfully completed BIOT-101 or equivalent and currently be enrolled in BIOT 280 course.
3. A letter of recommendation must be secured from a faculty member associated with the Biotechnology Program and complete an Ivy Tech scholarship application form. Awarded to one student for the fall and spring terms.
The scholarship was established by the Bloomfield State Bank to assist a Greene county resident who is pursuing a degree at Ivy Tech - Bloomington.

Bloomington North Rotary Club Scholarship
Awarded as funds are available in various academic terms.
This scholarship was established by the Bloomington North Rotary Club to assist students at Ivy Tech – Bloomington. Awards are given to full- or part-time who are making progress toward a certificate or degree and have demonstrated financial need.
Eligibility criteria:
1. Must demonstrate financial need; FAFSA should be on file.
2. Must be attending Ivy Tech – Bloomington.
Kay Brock International Student Scholarship
Awarded in the spring term.
The Kay Brock International Student Scholarship is intended to promote global diversity at Ivy Tech Bloomington by encouraging foreign student attendance. This scholarship is intended to pay the out-of-state tuition for one (1), three (3) credit hour course.
Eligibility criteria:
1. Applicant must be an international student with a current student visa (F1 Status).
2. Applicant must have successfully completed 12 credit hours at Ivy Tech Bloomington.
3. Minimum GPA: 3.0.
4. Preference will be given to students enrolled in a POLS course.
Patricia P. Brown Early Childhood Education Scholarship
Awarded to one scholar in the fall and spring terms.
The scholarship was established by Bill C. Brown to assist a student committed to completing a degree in Early Childhood Education.

Chancellor's Civic Engagement Scholarship
Awarded to one student in the fall and one student in the spring term.

The scholarship was established by Chancellor John Whikehart to assist students demonstrating strong commitment to civic engagement.
Eligibility Criteria:
1. Financial need must be demonstrated. FAFSA must be on file.

4. Student must submit a 500-700 word essay which demonstrates commitment to civic engagement (volunteering/community service) through the applicant's personal experiences with civic engagement.

This scholarship was established to assist students pursuing degrees in Computer Information at Ivy Tech – Bloomington.

Awarded to one scholar for the fall and spring terms.
The scholarship was established by Commercial Service of Bloomington, Inc. to assist a student who is pursuing an AS or AAS degree at the Ivy Tech - Bloomington campus that will lead to employment in the field of heating and air conditioning.

Awarded in the fall and spring terms.
ESSAY REQUIRED
This scholarship was established to assist students at Ivy Tech - Bloomington who are returning to school and who do not qualify for Pell grants.
Eligibility Criteria:
1. Must not qualify for Pell grants.
2. Must be out of high school for at least five years and returning to school at Ivy Tech – Bloomington.

4. Minimum college course credit hour completion of 12 hours (does not have to be current).

FERGUSON ENDOWMENT SCHOLARSHIPS
These scholarships were established by Steve and Connie Ferguson to assist students in the fields of Biotechnology, Nursing, and Radiation Therapy or are part-time students not eligible for grants.

First Financial Bank Scholarship
Awarded to one scholar for the fall and spring terms.
The scholarship was created by the First Financial Bank to make an education more affordable for a student enrolled in the Business Administration program at Ivy Tech - Bloomington.

Ford EEOC Scholarship
Awarded as funds are available in spring and summer terms.
This scholarship is posted separately as directed by Central Office.
Scholarships may be restricted to a certain degree program, if specified by Ivy Tech. Funds are only able to be renewed once, and may be used for tuition, books, fees, supplies or equipment.
Eligibility criteria:
1. Scholarship may be awarded to women and minorities only.
2. Preference is given to Ford employees and their spouses and children.
3. Applicant must provide a completed verification form from Ford.
Futures Unlimited Endowment Scholarship
Awarded in the fall, spring and summer terms.
The scholarship was established by various private and corporate donations to assist an Ivy Tech - Bloomington student in gaining the skills necessary to succeed in the workplace.

IU Health Proton Therapy Center Staff Scholarships in Radiation Therapy
Awarded in the fall and spring terms.
ESSAY REQUIRED
The scholarship was established by the Honorable P. A. Mack, Jr. to assist students enrolled in the Ivy Tech - Bloomington Radiation Therapy Program and who wish to pursue careers in this field. This scholarship is awarded based on funds available.
Eligibility criteria:
1. Students must have a minimum cumulative GPA of 3.0 and remain in good academic standing at Ivy Tech – Bloomington for the duration of the scholarship.
2. Applicants must prepare an essay describing their interest in working in the field of Radiation Therapy. The essay should reflect career aspirations, plans after graduation and the applicant’s commitment to civic engagement. The essay should be submitted to the Resource Development Office on the main campus.
3. Scholarship recipient may be considered for an internship or additional supplemental experience at the IU Health Proton Therapy Center, or may be asked to interview for a permanent position after graduation.
Gerald I. Lamkin Distinguished Scholar in Nursing (RN)
Awarded to two scholars in each of the fall and spring terms.
The scholarship was established by Lee and Annie Marchant in honor of former Ivy Tech Community College President Gerald I. Lamkin.

Awarded in the fall and spring terms.
The scholarship was established in 1998 and named for Arno Lessheim to assist students in need by encouraging continued success at Ivy Tech Community College - Bloomington.

2. Minimum cumulative GPA: 3.0.
Life Sciences Endowed Scholarship
Awarded to two students in the fall and spring terms and may be renewable if the student remains in good academic standing for the duration of the scholarship.
LETTER OF RECOMMENDATION REQUIRED
The scholarship was established by Claire Nisonger to encourage students of promise and need, who come from backgrounds that might not include aspirations to gain higher education, the opportunity to pursue careers in the Life Sciences field.
The Life Science programs eligible for this award are: Biotechnology, Kinesiology, Health Care Support, Health Information Technology, Paramedic Science, Radiation Therapy, and Respiratory Care.
Eligibility criteria:
1. Financial need must be demonstrated. FAFSA must be on file.
2. Minimum cumulative GPA: 3.0.
3. Must be currently enrolled full time in one of the eligible Life Sciences programs.

The scholarship was established by Dr. Carol Litten Touloukian in honor of her parents, Erle and Eleanor Litten, to assist a student enrolled in the nursing program.
Eligibility Criteria:
1. Financial need must be demonstrated.
2. Minimum cumulative GPA: 3.0.
3. Student must remain in good standing at the Ivy Tech - Bloomington campus for the duration of the scholarship.
4. Must be enrolled full time in the nursing program.

Lloyd Law Criminal Justice Scholarship
Awarded to one scholar in the fall and spring terms based on funds available.
This scholarship was established by Bloomington attorney William C. Lloyd (for five years) to assist Ivy Tech – Bloomington students are who pursuing degrees in Criminal Justice.
Eligibility criteria:
1. Financial need must be demonstrated; FAFSA must be on file.
2. Applicant must be a second-year student who is committed to completing the Associate of Applied Science in Criminal Justice or an Associate of Science in Criminal Justice.
3. Must have a 3.0 GPA and maintain at least a 3.0 GPA for the duration of the scholarship.
Kenneth Long Memorial Scholarship
Awarded in the fall and spring terms.
The scholarship was established by the friends, family and Ivy Tech - Bloomington staff to pay tribute to former student Kenneth Long.
Eligibility criteria:
1. Minimum cumulative GPA: 2.0.
2. Minimum enrollment requirement: 6 credit hours.
3. Student must be enrolled in the Accounting, Business Administration or Early Childhood Education programs at the Ivy Tech - Bloomington campus.
Kathrin N. Mappin Culinary Scholarship
Awarded in the fall term.
ESSAY REQUIRED
This scholarship was established in memory of Katie Mappin, a culinary arts student on the Ivy Tech – Bloomington campus who passed away in 2011. Preference on this award will be given to those students wishing to remain in the South Central Indiana area to pursue their career goals.
Eligibility criteria:
1. Financial need must be demonstrated. FAFSA must be on file.
2. Minimum GPA of 3.0.
3. Must have completed 12 credit hours and working toward a degree in Culinary Arts.
4. Applicant must compose a 500 word essay demonstrating how receipt of this scholarship award will help them financially, and how it will impact long-term career goals. Applicants should also answer the question: “Where do you expect to be in five years?” Essay must be submitted to the Resource Development Office.
Monroe County Building Association Endowed Scholarship
Awarded in the fall and spring terms to one student.
ESSAY REQUIRED
The scholarship was established by the Monroe County Building Association to assist students living in Monroe, Owen or Brown counties and enrolled in the Ivy Tech - Bloomington School of Technology.
Eligibility criteria:
1. Financial need must be demonstrated. FAFSA must be on file.
2. Minimum cumulative GPA: 3.0 or 2.5 for students transitioning from high school into college.
3. Minimum enrollment requirement: 6 credit hours.
4. Applicant must compose a 500 word essay which demonstrates commitment to employment in the building trades industry through the applicant's personal building experience (i.e. course work experience).

Awarded in the fall and spring terms as funds are available from Nursing 2000.
Nursing 2000 promotes and supports careers in Registered Nursing by community the opportunities, challenges, rewards and diversity of the profession. Recipients are chosen by School of Nursing faculty and staff.

Joan Olcott Scholarship in Healthcare
Awarded in the fall and spring terms. Full and partial scholarships may be awarded.
The scholarship was created in 2006 by Joan Olcott to assist students committed in completing a degree program that will lead to their employment in the field of health care.
Eligibility criteria:
1. Financial need must be demonstrated. FAFSA must be on file.
2. Minimum cumulative GPA: 3.0.

The scholarship was established by the employees at Otis Elevator to assist those students with proven academic excellence and financial need pursue a career in CAD.

3. Minimum enrollment requirement: 6 credit hours.

Pay It Forward Scholarship
Awarded to one scholar in the fall, and again in the spring.
ESSAY REQUIRED
The scholarship was established by an anonymous donor to assist a graduating high school senior or new GED recipient who has never attended college.
Eligibility criteria:
1. Financial need must be demonstrated. FAFSA must be on file.
2. Student must remain in good standing at the Ivy Tech - Bloomington campus for the duration of the scholarship.
3. Applicant must write a 250 word essay on the topic: "If you received this scholarship, how would you give back to the community or others through advancing your education?" Essay must be submitted to the Resource Development Office.
4. Recipient must be an Indiana resident.
PEO Scholarship
Usually awarded in the spring semester through the Financial Aid Office when notified by PEO and in receipt of funds and award instructions.
This scholarship was established by the Bloomington PEO Reciprocity Group. PEO (Philanthropic Educational Organization) is a society for women that promotes educational opportunities for women.
Dr. Lou Pierro Endowed Scholarship
Awarded in the fall and spring terms.
This scholarship was established by Ivy Tech Community College – Bloomington to recognize Dr. Lou Pierro’s dedication and outstanding service.
Eligibility guidelines:
1. Financial need must be met: FAFSA on file.
2. The student must have a minimum GPA of 3.0.
3. The student must be enrolled in at least six (6) credit hours.
4. The student must be enrolled in the CIS program at Ivy Tech Community College – Bloomington.
Harvey S. Poling, Jr. Scholarship
Awarded as funds are made available in the fall and spring terms. Awarded funds must be used for required classes necessary for completing degree program.
The Harvey S. Poling Memorial Scholarship was established to assist Ivy Tech Community College students in completion of courses required for their degree of study.
Eligibility guidelines:
1. Financial need must be demonstrated; FAFSA must be on file
2. Applicant must be 28 years of age or older
3. Applicant must have completed at least one half of degree program and must have 3.0 or higher GPA and remain in good academic standing.
4. If awarded, applicants must submit a headshot photo and a biography for publication. An authorization release will need to be signed.
Practical Nursing Scholarship
Awarded in the fall, spring and summer terms.
The scholarship was established by a Bloomington Friend of Ivy Tech to fund a full scholarship to a student seeking a Practical Nursing degree at the Ivy Tech - Bloomington campus. Partial scholarships may be available.

1. Must be enrolled in the Practical Nursing program at Ivy Tech - Bloomington.

The scholarship was established in 2006 by Ray and Marcie Tichenor to assist those students who have completed their first year of program study.

2. Minimum cumulative GPA: 3.0.

The Stars and Stripes Scholarship is designed to support the men and women of the United States Armed Forces, National Guard, Selected Reserve and Coast Guard while they are attending Ivy Tech Community College in Bloomington, Indiana. Priority shall be given to members of the Student Veteran Organization at Ivy Tech Community College in Bloomington.
Eligibility criteria:
1. Must be a military member or veteran (discharge status must be something other than dishonorable). Therefore, must present copy of the DD Form 214.
2. Must be a degree seeking student who has completed at least six credit hours at Ivy Tech Community College in Bloomington.
3. Must have a minimum cumulative GPA of 2.5.
4. Must compose a 250 word essay answering the question: “How does your previous military service influence your academic goals here at Ivy Tech – Bloomington? “
Student Senate Denise Caraway Memorial Scholarship
Awarded in the fall, spring and summer terms for the purpose of paying for three (3) credit hours.
The Ivy Tech - Bloomington Student Senate Denise Caraway Memorial Scholarship is designed to financially assist non-traditional students in their return to higher education late in adulthood.
Denise Caraway attended Ivy Tech - Bloomington from January 2000 to May 2003, graduating with honors in the first Ivy Tech - Bloomington graduating class in Early Childhood Education. She worked at Head Start for 16 years, quickly advancing in rank. She touched the lives of many children and adults in her work at Head Start and as a student at Ivy Tech - Bloomington.
Eligibility criteria:
1. Financial need must be demonstrated. FAFSA must be on file.
2. Must be at least 40 years of age.
3. Must be enrolled in at least six (6) credit hours.
4. Must be a degree seeking student.
5. Must have a minimum cumulative GPA of 2.5.
Student Senate Extra-Curricular Affairs Scholarship
Awarded in the fall, spring and summer terms for the purpose of paying for three (3) credit hours.
The Ivy Tech - Bloomington Student Senate Extra-Curricular Affairs Scholarship is designed to reward those students who are most actively involved with student clubs and organizations on the Ivy Tech - Bloomington campus. Priority shall be given to those students who have made the most notable accomplishments in that regard.
Eligibility criteria:

2. Must be active in student clubs and organizations on campus.
3. Must have completed a minimum of twelve (12) credit hours.

Awarded in $100 increments as fund are available in the fall, spring and summer terms.

This scholarship was established in memory of longtime educator Fred Jones to assist Ivy Tech – Bloomington students in defraying the costs of textbooks.
Eligibility criteria:

2. Student must not have full Pell grant.
3. Student must purchase book(s) for courses in which they are enrolled during the duration of the scholarship.
Student Senate Independent Student Scholarship
Awarded in the fall, spring and summer terms for the purpose of paying for three (3) credit hours.
The Ivy Tech - Bloomington Student Senate Independent Student Scholarship is designed to provide resources to those who most need, but often do not have a wide array of scholarships designed for their benefit.
Eligibility criteria:
1. Financial need must be demonstrated. FAFSA must be on file.
2. Must classify as being or having been in the past one of the following as stipulated in the guidelines set in the FAFSA: Emancipated, Orphaned, Homeless, A Ward of the Court or Under Legal Guardianship.
3. Must be enrolled in at least six (6) credit hours.

5. Must have a minimum cumulative GPA of 2.7.
Student Senate Opportunity Endowment Scholarship
Awarded in the fall term.
The Student Senate Opportunity Endowment Scholarship was created by the Ivy Tech – Bloomington Student Senate. Awards are designed to help students seeking degrees with a demonstrated financial need in place, and are made based on funds available. Preference will be given to students meeting requirements as single parents, first-generation college students, emancipated adults and veterans.

Student Senate Returning Student Scholarship
Awarded in the fall, spring and summer terms for the purpose of paying for three (3) credit hours.
The Ivy Tech - Bloomington Student Senate Returning Student Scholarship is designed to financially assist students who are returning to higher education after an absence of at least eight (8) years.
Eligibility criteria:
1. Financial need must be demonstrated. FAFSA must be on file.
2. Must have been absent from any significant higher-education activity for at least eight (8) years.
3. Must be enrolled in at least six (6) credit hours.
4. Must be a degree seeking student.

Student Senate Single Parent Scholarship
Awarded in the fall, spring and summer terms for the purpose of paying for three (3) credit hours.
The Ivy Tech - Bloomington Student Senate Single Parent Scholarship is designed to provide single parents on the Ivy Tech - Bloomington campus opportunities they otherwise might not have by providing the financial means for them to open themselves to greater possibilities. This is so that they have a chance to improve their own lives as well as their families'.
Eligibility criteria:
1. Financial need must be demonstrated. FAFSA must be on file.
2. Must be Single, Divorced, Widowed or Separated as according to the guidelines set in the FAFSA.
3. Must have children receiving more than half of their support from the student as according the guidelines set in the FAFSA.
4. Must be enrolled in at least six (6) credit hours.

6. Must have a minimum cumulative GPA of 2.5.
Student Senate Veterans Scholarship
Awarded in the fall, spring and summer terms for the purpose of paying for three (3) credit hours.
The Ivy Tech - Bloomington Student Senate Veterans Scholarship is designed to give the men and women of the United States Armed Forces, National Guard, and Selective Reserve as well as their dependents more opportunities to succeed in the world of higher education.
Priority shall be given to the leadership of the Student Veterans Organization on the Ivy Tech - Bloomington campus in order to promote a sustainable forum for service member interaction and advocacy.
Priority shall also be given to those who are not eligible to receive tuition assistance through the GI Bill or other fee remission programs.
Students receiving tuition assistance through the GI Bill or other fee remission programs (i.e. Child of Disabled Veterans, Federal Tuition Assistance or National Guard Supplemental Grant) are not eligible.

The scholarship was established by the Monroe County Building Association to assist a resident of Monroe or Morgan counties who is enrolled in either the Ivy Tech Community College - Bloomington School of technology or the School of Business.
Eligibility criteria:
1. Financial need must be demonstrated. FAFSA must be on file.
2. Minimum cumulative GPA: 3.0 or 2.5 for those students transitioning from high school into college.
3. Applicant must compose a 500 word essay stating how receiving this scholarship will benefit the applicant's educational and career goals in the future as well as influencing the building trades or business industry.

5. Applicant must be enrolled in the Ivy Tech Community College - Bloomington School of Technology or School of Business.

United Commerce Bank Scholarship
Awarded to one scholar in the fall and spring terms.
The scholarship was established by United Commerce Bank to assist a student seeking an AS or AAS degree from Ivy Tech Community College - Bloomington.
Eligibility criteria:
1. Financial need must be demonstrated. FAFSA must be on file.
2. Minimum cumulative GPA: 3.0.
3. Must be enrolled in an AS or AAS program at Ivy Tech - Bloomington.
Randy and Kathy Vernon Endowed Scholarships
Awarded in the fall and spring terms. Awards are renewable if student stays in good academic standing.
LETTER OF RECOMMENDATION REQUIRED
The Randy and Kathy Vernon Endowed scholarships are intended to encourage students of promise and need at Ivy Tech’s Bloomington campus who desire to pursue careers in the radiation therapy field.
Eligibility criteria:
1. Must be currently enrolled full-time in the Radiation Therapy Program at Ivy Tech – Bloomington.
2. Must have a GPA of 2.5 or better
3. Must secure a letter of recommendation from a staff or faculty member associated with the IU Health Proton Therapy Center and complete the Ivy Tech scholarship application form.
Ralph Voelkel Scholarship
Awarded to two students in the fall term, two students in the spring term, and one student in the summer term.
The scholarship was established by Ralph Voelkel to assistant students in learning a trade or receiving a degree at Ivy Tech - Bloomington.
Eligibility criteria:
1. Minimum cumulative GPA: 2.5.
2. Student must remain in good standing at the Ivy Tech - Bloomington campus for the duration of the scholarship.
3. Applicant may be either a part-time or full-time student.
4. Applicant must reside in Greene, Monroe or Owen County.
Jeffrey A. Whitfield, Sr. Memorial Scholarship
Awarded in the summer term.
The Jeffrey A. Whitfield, Sr. Memorial Scholarship is designed to support students pursuing degrees in the Hospitality Administration program at Ivy Tech – Bloomington. Awards may only be granted once and are made based on funds available.
Eligibility criteria:
1. Have a FAFSA on file.
2. Be enrolled in the Hospitality Administration program at Ivy Tech – Bloomington.
3. Have minimum GPA of 2.5.
4. Be enrolled in a minimum of six (6) credit hours.
