Our annual Cook Institute for Entrepreneurship event supports the need for entrepreneurial education in our College and across our region as a key to economic success. This year Indiana entrepreneur Patricia R. Miller, co-founder of Vera Bradley served as the luncheon keynote speaker with her presentation "Be colorful: unleashing your entrepreneurial spirit." Patricia discussed Vera Bradley's history as well as some of her advice and lessons learned on business, entrepreneurship, and philanthropy.
Workshop - How to Raise Money for Your Startup or Growing Business
Kevin Cameron, CEO of Ionetix Corporation in San Francisco, CA, led an interactive forum about his experiences with raising money to fund ventures in startup and growth companies. The format included a presentation and Q&A with members of the audience interested in raising capital for their business.
