Elaine took advantage of the state-funded life science programs offered at Ivy Tech in Bloomington and as a result obtained a job at Cook Inc.  Elaine completed the HIRE certificate which certified her in WorkKeys and computer competencies, and confirms she participated in 48 hours of softskill and basic life science training.  Additionally, she participated in the Manufacturing Readiness Certificate for life sciences and the Biomanufacturing and Medical Device Technician program.

Michael Dyer

Michael is President and CEO of Electronic Communications Systems (ECS), which he founded in 1989.  He has designed radio systems for both the Army and Navy, including the radio communications command center at the Crane Naval Surface Warfare Center in Crane, Ind., and is the recipient of the prestigious Indiana Entrepreneur Awards of Distinction (Spirit Award) from the Indiana University Kelly School of Business, and the Fuse Business Award from the Small Business Development Center (SBDC) for Entrepreneurial Growth.  ECS is a participant and supporter of Ivy Tech apprenticeship and electronics programs.
