Tonya Thurman
Tonya started taking classes at Ivy Tech in 1989, while working full-time in the production area at Cook Incorporated. In 1991, Tonya applied for a position in Cook's Data Processing and Labeling department, and received it because of the skills she learned while continuing her education at Ivy Tech. Tonya received an Associate of Applied Science in Administrative Office Technology in May 1993 from Ivy Tech - Bloomington. Tonya graduated as a member of Phi Theta Kappa as well as with honors. In 2001, Tonya completed her bachelor's degree from Indiana Wesleyan in Business Management and graduated Summa Cum Laude. Tonya has worked her way up from the production area at Cook Incorporated up to her current position, Manager of Regulatory Affairs Clinical Trial Services.
Some of Tonya's duties include: conducting worldwide Cook Incorporated clinical trials; planning and implementing policies and procedures relating to clinical trial sponsorship and other clinical research functions; serving as company liaison for clinical budgets and contracting with hospitals and physicians; and ensuring compliance with FDA regulations and in compliance with country-specific regulations.
