Placement

The Accuplacer assessment is available at no cost to students and is the most common way Ivy Tech students demonstrate their readiness for college-level coursework. The Accuplacer is a placement instrument, created by CollegeBoard, and used by post secondary institutions in Indiana and surrounding states to place college students into coursework appropriate for the students' skill level. The Accuplacer replaced the COMPASS in Fall 2012.
