COURSE OBJECTIVES
An understanding of the following:
• Introduction to OSHA
• Pre-test; history
• OSH Act
• General Duty Clause 5(a)(1),
• Inspections, Citations, and Penalties, (CFR Part 1903)
• Walking & working surfaces
• Exit routes emergency action plans, fire prevention plans, and fire protection, subparts E & L
• Electrical safety
• Choose at least six of the following topics, must add up to at least 14 hours total
• Flammable and combustible liquids, subpart H
• Personal protective equipment (PPE), subpart I
• Permit-required confined spaces, subpart J
• Lockout/tagout, subpart J
• Materials handling, subpart O
• Machine guarding, subpart O
• Welding, cutting, and brazing, subpart Q
• Hazard communication, subpart Z
• Introduction to industrial hygiene /bloodborne pathogens, subpart Z
• Ergonomics
• Recordkeeping, 29 CFR 1904
• Safety and health programs
• For the remainder of the class, any other general industry standards or policies can be taught and/or expand on the required topics
TRAINING DESCRIPTION AND MATERIALS
The 30-hour OSHA class will be taught in a lecture and discussion format utilizing various forms of visual aids and video/written media.
DVD: OSHA: An Introduction, OSHA Top Ten, Electric Case Histories: Fatal Shock, Arc Flash, Hand outs, Equipment: PPE as appropriate, LOTO hasps and locks as appropriate Equipment: OSHA General Standards for General Industry.
HOURS AND COST
Your OSHA 30-Hour Outreach for General Industry training course includes 30 contact hours of instruction for up to 6 employees. Pricing includes training administration, instruction, participant text, and an activity evaluation at the conclusion of training.
