5S can serve as a foundation for a successful lean enterprise system. 5S can be done any time, however it is often the first step in Lean after Value Stream Analysis (VSA). Examine 5S housekeeping organization and visual management techniques to produce higher-quality products, increase productivity and safety, and generate greater customer satisfaction, bother internal and external. A plan for implementation will be discussed in class. The workshop includes the book 5S for Operators.

This instructor led course with reference text, focuses in part on the study and application of 5S Housekeeping/Organization Techniques and in particular its application to a Lean enterprise. The reference text is from Productivity Press Lean Shop Floor series workbooks.
