This course helps to prepare an individual with roofing experience to take the contractor’s tests for the Limited Roofing and the Unlimited Roofing licenses in Vanderburgh County/ City of Evansville, Indiana.  This class is not a substitute for experience in the roofing industry. A Basic knowledge of the roofing industry is also necessary to be able to pass the tests.  Also, it is essential that a person study outside of class in order to pass the exam.  The instructor explains the testing procedure, subjects covered in the exam, and the test structure.

This instructor led course with reference text focuses on topics relative to the Roofing Contractor Licensure exam through lecture, class discussion, and class exercises.  Reference texts are included in the course, and may include a sampling of the following texts:

• Roofing Construction and Estimating 1995 Edition

• International Residential Code for One-and-Two Family Dwellings, 2003 Edition

• International Code Council29CFR (Code of Federal Regulations) 1926 OSHA (Construction Industry), 2004 edition

• International Building Code, 2000 edition
