Pneumatics

This course will provide participants an understanding and application of fluid power principles and components.  Learners will gain the knowledge of basic circuit design through the use of symbols and schematic diagrams to build a foundation for career work in fluid power technology.

COURSE OBJECTIVES

  • Calculate and demonstrate the basic physics of fluid mechanics using Pascal's Law
  • Describe function and construction of various fluid power components, including   pumps, valves, cylinders, filters, heat exchangers, pressure regulators, and accumulators
  • Identify fluid power symbols and interpret fluid power schematic diagrams
  • Demonstrate basic fluid power plumbing
  • Design elementary fluid power circuits
  • Troubleshoot elementary fluid power circuits
  • Demonstrate knowledge of safety procedures related to fluid power equipment

TRAINING DESCRIPTION AND MATERIALS

This instructor led course with reference text, focuses on the study and application of pneumatics. This course provides the learner the ability to demonstrate competencies in fluid power basics.

HOURS

You’re Pneumatics course is a 32-hour training activity, scheduled at your convenience for up to a maximum of 8 participants.  3.2 IACET approved CEU’s will be awarded upon successful completion of the course.  Pricing includes training administration, instruction, textbooks and course materials, and an activity evaluation at the conclusion of training.
