Manual Vertical Milling
This course covers basic skills for the safe and proper use of manual vertical mills and associated tooling used to produce quality parts.

This course utilizes industry standard equipment, offers projects that require all of the basic milling operations, and culminates with a nationally recognized certification part and exam. The NIMS Level I Manual Milling Certification is a portable skills document verified and recognized by industry professionals.

TRAINING DESCRIPTION AND MATERIALS

This instructor led course with reference texts, focuses on the processes required to mill basic precision quality parts with minimal waste.

Students learn by doing with hands on projects, supplemented with focused lectures, additional reference materials, and continual improvement through the instructor’s experience and guidance. For experienced or advanced employees, Manual Vertical Milling can be customized to include specialized, industry specific equipment or materials, advanced course material, or other specialized needs.

HOURS

Your Manual Vertical Milling course is an 80 hour training activity, scheduled at your convenience for up to 12 participants maximum.

Training includes all course textbooks and materials, training administration, instruction, participant use of tool-crib, activity evaluation, and NIMS certification testing fee.
