Workforce and Economic Development
Electronics
In today’s highly automated world, almost every object we encounter has some degree of electronic circuit incorporated into its basic components. Nowhere is this truer than in business and industry. These ubiquitous little components are present in almost every piece of machinery, office equipment, and device in daily use. Electronics introduces the participant to the basics of electricity and electronics.

BENEFITS TO YOUR ORGANIZATION

  • A well trained maintenance staff
  • Easily accessible in-house knowledge
  • More productivity through an increased understanding of basic electronic functions
  • A strong base for maintenance employee development

COURSE OBJECTIVES

  • Describe the basic parts of the atom and their importance to electronics
  • Be able to define charge, voltage, current resistance, and conductance
  • Compute conductance and resistance of conductors and insulators
  • Be able to define power including proper units of measurement
  • Explain Ohm’s Law and the relationship between voltage, current, and power
  • Analyze, construct, and troubleshoot parallel and simple series-parallel circuits
