Introduction to National Electrical Code

Introduces the role and use of the National Electrical Code Book. Provides an overview of interpretation, calculations, and revisions of the codebook.

• Describe how the National Electrical Code Book is used in the trades

• Recognize current deletions in the National Electrical Code Book

• Identify the tables in the National Electrical Code Book

• Apply and use calculations with the information from the tables

• Learn proper grounding techniques

• Learn how to calculate lighting requirements for various applications

• Learn how to safely install equipment for use.

Training description and materials

This instructor led course with reference text, focuses in on the National Electrical Code, grounding techniques, electrical safety, NEC tables and calculations.

 

Hours and cost:

Your National Electrical Code course is a 48-hour training activity, scheduled at your convenience for up to a maximum of 10 participants.  4.8 IACET approved CEU’s will be awarded upon successful completion of the course.  Pricing includes training administration, instruction, textbook & course materials, and an activity evaluation at the conclusion of training.
