Ivy Tech Community College - Central Indiana, Corporate and Continuing Education, in partnership with Gatlin Education Services (GES), offers online open enrollment programs designed to provide the skills necessary to acquire professional level positions for many in-demand occupations.

The Microsoft Certified Systems Engineer (MCSE) credential is the premier certification for professionals who analyze the business requirements, and design and implement the infrastructure for business solutions based on the Microsoft Windows® 2003 platform and Microsoft server software.

Implementation responsibilities include installing, configuring, and troubleshooting network systems.The MCSE 2003 credential is one of the most widely recognized technical certifications in the industry, a credential in high demand. COURSE OBJECTIVES

• Configure Microsoft Windows 2003 Professional on stand-alone computers and on client computers that are part of a workgroup or domain

• Install and configure Windows 2003 Server

• Install, configure, and administer Microsoft Window 2003 Active Directory service

• Gain the knowledge and skills necessary to design a Microsoft Windows 2003 directory services infrastructure

• Understand the strategies needed to design the Active Directory structure of an organization, and then design the Active Directory structure to meet those needs

• Learn network solution technologies: including DHCP, IP, OSPF, RIP, and IGMP

• Gain the knowledge and skills needed to design a security framework for small, medium, and enterprise networks by using Microsoft Windows 2003 technologies

TRAINING DESCRIPTION AND MATERIALS

The course is itended for those who also analyze business requirements, design infrastructure, and deploy networks. Programs are only compatible with Microsoft Operating System and Internet Explorer.
