This course is comprised of four basic components. The course will begin with basic appraisal principles and procedures, and then residential appraiser site valuation will be introduced, lastly small income producing property will conclude the 75 hours of this course. The fundamentals will define and open discussion on the basics of appraising to include standards, markets, analysis, finance and concepts related to the industry. General topics include real property concepts and characteristics, influences on real estate value, legal considerations, types of value, economic principles, real estate markets and analysis, valuation process, residential applications, sales comparison and income approaches to appraisal, and property definition and highest and best use analysis.

Training Description and materials
Participant must be 18 years of age or older. This course is approved by the Indiana Real Estate Commission for the mandatory hours for appraisal licensing. After successful completion of this course and the USPAP program, students will receive an Ivy Tech certificate which will allow them to sit for the state exam. This class also requires a calculator.
Hours and Cost
Your Real Estate Appraisal Pre-Licensing course is a 75-hour course which is scheduled at your convenience for up to 12 participants maximum. Pricing includes training administration, instruction, textbooks and course materials, and an activity evaluation at the conclusion of training.
