This important role requires an extensive knowledge of home systems and standards. This introductory course will cover all aspects of the home inspection process and prepare the student to enter the home inspection field.

Course Objectives

• To provide an intensive and comprehensive background on residential systems and standards to include: exterior, structure, roofing, interior, insulation, plumbing, air conditioning and heat pumps, heating, electrical, etc

• Know the inspection process and understand the role of the home inspector in the real estate industry

• Have the background to take the national and/or state licensing examinations.

• Material will be provided to prepare the student for new state regulations regarding licensing

Training description and materials
This instructor led course with textbook emphasizes the components of a home and teaches the student to grade the condition of the home. This course meets the required number of classroom hours needed to sit for the State licensing exam. Approximately 40 hours of the course will be lecture and 20 hours will be dedicated to performing inspections in the field.

Hours and Cost
Your Indiana Home Inspection course is a 60-hour training activity, scheduled at your convenience for up to a maximum of 10 participants.  Pricing includes training administration, instruction, class handouts and materials, and an activity evaluation at the conclusion of training.
